Shop for antiques or handcrafted works downtown, or explore the historic buildings and battlefields. Whether it's the heritage-centered West Virginia State Fair, the sweet annual Chocolate Festival or just around town, Greenbrier County is bursting with the flavor of creative chefs and upscale mom-and-pop restaurants. Wash it down with hand-bottled spirits at Smooth Ambler.
Then get out of town to roam the river valley and the forest hills! Explore the Greenbrier State Park, or ride the easy path along the riverbed, the Greenbrier River Trail. Or, get underground in one of the more than 3,000 caves! You can walk through the lighted Lost World Caverns and delve into all the adventure in the Appalachian underground!

I once had an uncle that lived in the eastern part of Greenbrier County. The name of the town was Snowflake. If memory serves me correctly he worked at a rock quarry.
White Sulphur Springs is my home town.
