I had the privilege of playing that instrument for my uncle's wedding some years ago. I was also fortunate, in high school and college, to study organ on an Aeolian-Skinner G. Donald Harrison installation in my hometown, Grand Rapids Michigan.
i knew before i saw---beautiful tonality, voice, and depth. this old girl can get up and go. sure do enjoy this. too, i like the kingsfold from the guy who is playing in st. patrick's, new york. i particularly like the arrangement a bit more.
For sure, this is one of the "Iconic" Aeolian Skinner instruments with voicing and tonal finishing all its own. What a gem! Donald Harrison brought the best of the Willis organ tone and reeds to the E.M. SKinner symphonic organs producing the "American Classic Organ".
this is such a wonderful hymn, and i like the arr:. nice, nice registeration and technique. all around just nothing to criticize, and that is a good thing! picardy thrid at the conclusion is a nice little touch.
Love the skinner reeds..the sad thing is we are starting to lose a lot of em.skinners as well churchs are not rebuilding these organs going elctric ones..sad.

The reeds have NOTHING to do with Ernest! It is an anti Symphonic Organ
