Like I’ve said before you are doing wonderful job I think you should not worry about the same content that other people are talking about your style and your presence is greatly appreciated
Thank you! I think right now I’m just trying to find a style and flow that works best for me and that I can also continue to enjoy creating. I feel like I go back and forth all the time with what direction I want to take with my videos, but I really enjoyed this format and this definitely felt more natural for me 🥰 I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you, I'm so happy you enjoy my videos! I think sometimes I'm still finding my style/flow, but videos like this one feels more natural to me, so I'm happy to hear others liked it too ❤️
Chilling with Bekka 🥰 I thought it was wonderful and relaxing. You have a wonderful relaxed manner about you and a nice soothing voice so you really don’t have to worry. I enjoy the educational videos and this alternative is refreshing. 💚🌿💚
thank you! I'm happy you enjoyed this video ! Hehe, this style of video definitely feels more natural to me, I feel like I can just be myself in these ones. Thanks again for watching 💕
I will never get tired of videos like this so please do more if you want to 😄🥰 Also the editing and the music in the background is spot on! Started my morning with this video and I know I´m gonna have a good day 😍🥰
thank you so much!!!! 🥹 I had a lot of fun learning new editing styles and playing around with them, and I'm glad you enjoyed the music too! I always think of warm coffee whenever I listen to that genre, so I think it suits the cozy vibe well hehe I'm glad this video set the tone for the rest of your day! 🥰
This was nice, vlog type content is always fun to watch. Kinda feels like we are right there with you which is nice. Love the kitties, they are so cute!
Hehe, I personally enjoy watching other people's vlogs as well! Thank you so much, I'm also super glad you liked seeing my kitties! They will definitely be making regular appearance, planned and unplanned lol 😹
Bahaha I always get such a kick when I see people propagating in stratum! Best crossover between my 2 favorite hobbies 😂😂💚 would love a video about your favorite substrates and how you use them! Pls give us an update on the corms!!!
hahaha! I wonder about that sometimes! Stratum is the new and shiny thing for houseplant hobbyists but I always think that people with aquariums probably look at us and go "lol you guys, we've known about this since forever!!" Hahaha such a good crossover though 😂
Love this style of video. Very relaxing. Would love for you to share more about the substrates you choose that are mixtures. For instance what makes up the mix for your fern leaf cactus and why you chose to do it that way. It looks great by the way.😊. Keep up the great work your doing its awesome. You are one of my new favs.💕
Hehehe thank you! They’re very clingy and like following me around, it makes filming and chores challenging sometimes! But at least I always get some cat cuddles in hehehe
You are so humble, yet so charming . I love your video style (calm, gentle, relaxing). 😍 I really appreciate that you took the time to do the video, and share your tips when caring for your gorgeous plants. I would love educational videos . 🙏👍🙂 I wish you the best to your TH-cam channel !
Hahahahah I am literally watering alllll the time 😅😅 maybe sometimes I’ll include some plant watering footage, there definitely won’t be a shortage of that 😂
Absolutely love this video and can’t wait to see more like it. Now I really need to get some of those pump bottles you use for the fertilizer and PH. Do you have links for those? Or some similar?
I don't have links because I recycled old ones from my work place, but any pump bottle can work! You can use empty soap bottles too. Just pump once, then use a syringe or something similar to measure out how much it pumped out, then you'll know what one pump is equal to going forward!
I loved the chill relaxing vibe of this video, and really enjoyed your choice of jazz for the background music. Your editing is also so pretty! My only constructive criticism would be the "ding" noise, when a message popped up, felt a little jarring in comparison to the rest of the soundscape of the video - maybe a gentler notification sound? Loved the plant and cat content, as always!
thanks so much! ❤ The ding is actually the ringtone iphone's make when it receives a new text message! So I thought it would be appropriate since the text bubbles looked like text messages haha! But I'll keep it in mind for next time!
Just keep doing what you're doing. I think your channel is great! As long as you keep it up, just as you are, you're going to have more followers than you know what to do with. Believe that!
thank you! I'm new to TH-cam but not new to other social media channels, such as Instagram. I like TH-cam because it gives me a different way to explore my creativity! I'm just trying to figure out what direction I want to take it 🤔
Oh i used Mosquito Dunks! They're little donut shaped corks that contain BTI - a strain of bacteria that is toxic to gnat larvae, so it's a biological form of gnat control! It works for mosquito larvae too lol I just put mine into tea bags so the cork doesn't get all over the place as it breaks apart!
Ahh unfortunately I wont be able to adjust the ding on this video since it has already been uploaded, but I decreased the volume for it in my other videos! Sorry about that
Currently deciding between different moss poles on the market. What would you say is your favorite moss poll that you've used? I think i'm debating between Thiccly or a self-watering moss pole. (:
My personal favorite is Grow Thiccly, I have switched almost exclusively to them! I've used self watering ones before and even the ones with PVC pipe down the center, etc, and I find that the moss still dries out too fast and the outer layer becomes hydrophobic even with a self watering feature. The Thiccly ones eventually dry out as well, but the plastic back prevents that from happening too soon. That's just my preference though, but I hope this helps!
I find it weird with the ph measuring. This happens to me too when I use a ph meter. It tells me it's the correct ph between 6-6.5, but when I use the liquid ph testing kit it says it's really acidic. I don't know what to believe. 😖😮💨
yeah it's so odd! Usually my pH is roughly where I expect it to be every time I've measured. This is the first time it turned super acidic like that, so I'm confused! So weird 😵💫
The production quality of your channel is improving exponentially quickly :O Also, regarding dark circles - just wanted to say - you keep being so critical of yourself but honestly: 1. they're not noticeable 2. your eyes are gorgeous
hehe thank you 😆 I took some time to learn a bit more about the editing program I was using, I'm glad the results were good! Ahhh yeah... I was always a bit self conscious growing up, and my extended family was very critical sometimes (like about my height, my teeth pre-braces, my 👀, etc) so I think I kinda just carried it over into adulthood 🥲 I think now I'm more confident, but I still have days where I feel self conscious 😅

And I know in my first ever YT video the music was turned up way loud, i wish i could fix it but I'd have to take the video down 🥲
@@HerPlantStories aw yeah u doing really well, I can't remember with this video, but a few of them the music is slightly louder then you, just wanted to let u know and thought I woukd comment on the newest video u did ao u would see, carry on the great videos 😃☺️
For water pH, isn't that the kind of thing you can test one time, and know exactly how many drops of pH up/down you need to correct it? Can tap water vary significantly enough that it needs to be tested each time? I'm trying to be a lazy plant parent, want to add the step of adjusting pH for optimal nutrient absorption, and don't want to have to do it every time. Once you've made an orange juice container's worth of water, can it be stored for a while, or must be used up right away?
You're mexicanum cutting has too many leaves to supply nutrients too and that is why it won't root. Also sometimes the leaves are too big and you have to cut some off. Cuttings need to concentrate their energy to producing roots and they can't do that with too many or too large leaves.
Thank you 🙂 I have rooted many cuttings and propagations and imports with zero roots in the past. Keep in mind the mexicanum was very recently shipped across the country and is also a fresh cutting, so it has been through a lot of stress. There are roots forming already, though, which is great news! 🥳 Holding on to the leaves becomes detrimental if I am rooting it without a bin AKA in low humidity; the leaves would cause the plant to lose moisture too quickly. That's why I have it in a bin for now, which provides 100% humidity to help it root while holding on to the leaves, too. I prefer to try my best to keep the leaves as much as possible since the leaves are the organs that plants use to photosynthesize/metabolize and therefore make energy to form roots 😁 I'll continue to observe the mexicanum to see if anything needs to be changed but for now I think it just needs a different rooting media that stays more consistently moist 🤔
Be careful because ripsalis are very prone to mealy bugs! It seems like every time I turn around I see those little buggers on my ripsalis' and nothing else... Don't get caught sleeping on your succulents... They do get pests too
