started grading my days by percentages and it was a real eye opener. ex: i have 4 objective KPIs per day and if i follow 3 but break the 4th, my grade for that day was a 75%, or a C. this helps me describe to myself and to others how my trading day went and it's process oriented rather than outcome oriented. i also employ asymmetric compounding and that is also helpful on really good days

Hey bro, I understand how you feel. Have you try scalping?
Sometimes trading is about getting to know yourselves better, and finding your true self.
Use scalping strategy to enter and exit the market within 10-15 minutes for one trade.
You don't have to follow others trying to catch every pips in the market. Just get what you need, and get out fast, securing your profits.
Maybe 10-20 pips is all you need. The longer you stay in the market, the higher risk you expose yourselves to the market.
Sometimes don't need to follow others such as targeting 1:10 1:20 risk to reward.
Maybe all you need is enter the market when seeing a series of higher high and higher low, wait till price retrace to demand zone, enter the trade and target the recent high.

Well, sometimes you do have to change strategies because the market changes and that particular strategy stopped working for a little while. And you don't have to use the same set up/strategy on every trade. Sometimes I trade patterns, sometimes I trade momentum or reversals... You have to trade what the market gives you.

And I've also decided to stop following other traders, because it just messes with my mind because I see them making a lot of money and it makes me want to make a lot of money and that only leads to taking bad trades or risking too much for a quick buck rather than playing the long game. Most of the losing trades have a technical reason why they are losing trades. Sometimes small technical details that make a huge difference. So not until you have an absolute knowledge about the strategy then you can start thinking about psychology as you say. The problem is that people start trading a strategy when they dont even fully know it. Take care my man❤

Hey man, I've appreciated your channel for over a year now. The way I'm looking at trading right now is if I can't consistently make $50 a trade, I can't consistently make $5000 a trade. So, until I can make $50 a trade fairly consistently I'm keeping my risk at $10 a trade. I like 1:5 RR because I only need around a 20% win rate to stay break even and therefore remain in the game. I've studied Photon for about year now. Still struggling but I've burned my boats and bridges, bro. I appreciate being able to share your journey through these videos. Mine is similar.

Yes. Just saying "it's this strategy or I give up" is not the best way to look at it.
There are many different trading methods out there and not everyone is suited for every method.
It is usually best to first define what kind of trades you want to look for and how long you are comfortable being in a trade.
Are you the type who wants to go in fast and be out fast and just scalp? Are you looking for something a little meatier? Or do you want to lean more into the long term investment side where you buy something and walk away for a long time and come back to profits.
You also have to determine what kind of strategy appeals to you the most, breakouts, trends, ranges or patterns and whether or not you are comfortable with something that has a lot of steps or you want something that takes less time to chart.
Everyone has different preferences and no single strategy is best suited for everyone.

Strategy hooping is just another ‘chasing the shiny object’ just like switching from e-commerce, dropshipping etc etc.. consistency and learning one way of making the money over and over is the way to go. Know it inside out. After you have that one profitable, then start learning new ways. You can make money with basically every strategy. But only if you put in long enough time.

Size of funded accounts are there to sound fancy. What matters is your accumulated max drawdown (whichever lower, daily or trailing)for all your funded accounts which is what these funded companies are on the hook for. Some funded companies don’t even send real orders btw and with most traders reset/ blowing account and challenges, there is enough to pay the winning traders
Better than demo for trade psychology, sure. Or I can set up a small margin account and trade small position to do that

I believe that most of the teachers we found out there cannot teach. And I don't mean that they don't know what they're talking about is just that they don't structure the courses like you would see in let's say university courses and the likes of it. And where they lack the most is in evaluating, I believe that when you learn something you really have it engrained in your brain after a test or project. And from what I've seen, they never give you like a test where you can identify what they're teaching, and just saying that you have to backtest until your eyes bleed is not the right approach, I think that a lot of people jump strategies because there's no end to the course when they're structured like this.

@@KimmelTrading I want to clarify, I think this way since I come with an university education, I'm more used to structured plans where you get to test your knowledge and even though I believe a test doesn't mean that you're an expert on the topic some of us need that structure and I believe most of us do since we all most likely come from the same education model. However I think trading also involves self learning, and that's where I believe most of us struggle with.

I believe that you can wait to fix the mindset problems that actually come hand in hand with live trading, FOMO , fear of losing greed and all that jazz , but if you come into trading with unrealistic expectations or a get rich quick mindset you’ll never reach the point of having a profitable system because you’ll keep learning new technicals to attain something that doesn’t exist, so i think your mindset does need to be at a certain Level first.

I focus on pips. It doesn't matter if you win 1, 30 or 100. The goal is accumulate a winning pip score.

Bro I have a profitable strategy that I have passed a few challenges with and even gotten payouts in the thousands when I stick to all of my rules. However, I have this really bad habit of moving my SL at times, how do I fix it? I would go a number of weeks of trading perfectly and then like out of no where I begin to self sabotage myself by moving SL. It's crazy it's like something comes over me without even realising and I end up doing the same mistake over and over again. How do I fix this? To me, this is like the last obstacle that I need to master... I have every thing else in place just this issue which remains...
Maybe anyone has any tips or tricks for me to stop moving my SL, I would greatly appreciate it... It's literally the last piece of the puzzle for me.

Don't fall into the greed trap. Always concentrate on winning 2% a day. Everyday. See what happens in 6 months.

I disagree ,it's all psychology, you can't see it because it's not tangible or quantifiable. When you turn the corner psychologically, the strategies start to fall into place.

Trading psychology is a myth. If you're loosing $$ it's either because you don't understand the fundamentals of the strategy and how to trade it or it's a crap strategy designed by some wannabe youtube trader.
