- Many thanks to Frank Zicari owner and sound engineer of M & C Recording Studio in Albion, NY for his great work in Mobile recording of our live music in many locations in USA and Canada which happened throughout all the years of Melody Night performances. Great job Frank.
Many thanks to Orysia Beletzky for taking the time to shoot all the photos of the band performing. Nice job "Oreo".
If music could stop wars, I would play all day. Long Live Free Ukraine.

my baba and dido raised me on you guys! Pani Anna Senko and Micheal Senko! you played their wedding
Hi Tania, thank you for the comment. I don't remember the Senko wedding. We played for so many weddings and zabava's it's hard to remember all the names and places. What city and date was the wedding? maybe it will refreshen my memory. I'm glad you are enjoying our music. I wish I could go back in time and do it all over again. Type in my name "Victor Beletzky" in search field and you will get all my postings. Enjoy.......
Victor Beletzky oh goodness, the city was Rochester but im not too sure when they got married, but they raised me in this music and im so lucky to have been brought up with some genuine ukrainian music.
I'm glad you enjoyed our music. Thank you for listening.
(Google translation)

+Nick Kompanijec, thanks for the note. I sent an email to Andy long time ago about the postings mainly because he is in some of the live Kobzary gigs we all played in. If you search for my name "Victor Beletzky" you will find all of the Melody Night recordings and all the live Kobzary festivals we all played in. The live Kobzary recordings were made on a crappie 8 mm camera and transposed to digital. Enjoy........
Hey Nick, I just posted two live, in motion, old videos of Melody Night playing in New Jersey and in New York City in the late 70's. Check it out and pass the info along to all who remember having a great time with Melody Night.

Bill was my step uncle, can't believe I came across this. Are there any CD' or DVD's available to buy?
best music ever 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦!
Victor was very good on accordion cordovox
Thank you for posting this Vic! This is my fav MN record although they all have a great feel on them!
I love seeing the pix of the band live and in the studio. It brings back SO many memories! Thank you for taking the time to assemble and post these for all to see! Perhaps a Wiki page sometime in the future?
I remember loaning you my acoustic to record the bellows shakes on these records. And on MN2 you played the Cordovox through the 825 Leslie. You can tell it was the 825 because of the time it takes for the rotor to speed up - it's virtually instant on the 147. I love the gliss (with the long sustain effect @ 28:16) on the bridge of "Fly My Lonely Song". Always wondered how you did that when I was a kid... It made more sense after I began playing around with the Duo and the Leslies.
I have a pic of MN playing outdoors in Syracuse where you used both Leslies in tandem.
I love the sound of the Duovox on MN3. It was a fresh palette of tones to play with. You didn't use any Leslie on that record though... but you shredded it with the 16' bass tab on a couple of tunes! Nice!
The pic of the engineer (who was that guy anyway?) in the control room and the shot from the recording space looking at the CR window bring me back to 1975 when I was 10 years old and walked into that CR and realized right there and then that I wanted to mix music for the rest of my life. It's also cool seeing how young you all were back in the day. Seeing my dad as a young man again is very inspiring.
I love seeing the gear you guys used back in the 70's. The SM-57 mics with the wind screens on them. The Heil Sound p.a. with the bi-radial horns and oh! the Traynor "columns"! Those were the "line arrays" of the day!
And of course, the Duovox! There are a few pix of the Philharmonic during the MN1 days but very few of the Cordovox. Seems like whoever was shooting the stills was doing so during the MN3 era.
Again, thank you for posting these! I know that a lot of people miss hearing these records.
***** Hey Mike, I just found this message and replying. You remember more about Melody Night and the equipment than I do. Remember we had Frank Zicari's help. Thanks for all your memories of us.
Victor Beletzky Yeah... Amazing how impressionable young kids are. Gear and music was what my life pretty much revolved around in those days. You were a hero figure in my life. Thank you for the times of interaction that we had back then. I know that it may not have meant anything much to you, but you were sowing seeds into my life that have produced a harvest of music and audio that I still use every day! You may not remember, but one day you stopped by the house on Julianne Dr after work (seems like you were working near Pixley Rd) and you replaced the TS jack on my Philharmonic with a TRS jack. That was a huge revelation to me in signal flow! Yes, you probably never realized it but I thought that the motorcycle riding, electronic tech, accordion playing dude in Tato's band was pretty cool and I wanted to be like him one day. You never know who's watching, lol! Thanks for posting the music and pics!
Victor, any segway on putting the albums to a CD? I asked a year ago but dealing with the other band members estate..I just want to pay your music in my car each day. My 87 year old mother reminisces and cries evertime I play your music for her as your band played at my sisters wedding in May 1980 at the UNC in Auburn N.Y.❤
Thanks for making these available Victor, the retro pictures are great. The songs sound remastered...any chance you would make these available for purchase on Amazon/iTunes, similar to what Rushnychok did? Olesh Iwachiw (Syracuse, NY)
Thanks for listening. The LP albums were digitized and only family members have CD's. I can't say if these recordings will be available on CD for the public any time soon. Sorry.
Victor, thank you so much for this awesome music. Do you have the titles of these tracks?
Some of them seem familiar and I don't know if they're covers.
For an American with Ukrainian ancestry could someone by chance give me an idea what the titles for the songs are? I wanna organize my music library and want the english titles for all the tracks.
Dunno if this is still relevant to you, but song titles are in the description
@@icebrakertrotsky97 bro you’re a freaking rock star! 2 years later but I finally got the right track info! I asked my grandfather (God rest his soul) and he gave me some generic answer about the track of each song, so seriously thank you, I didn’t even look at the description lol
