Ontology is my personal fav out of all of their microtonal music, Instrasport coming in a close second. That last bit with the harmonizing solos blows me away every time. What a badass, hard, unique, creative sound. I also like the eastern russian sounding bassline. And fun fact, Oddlife is COOKIE'S personal fav!
Great couple of tracks right here. Basically any song can transition into the studio version of Ontology with how abruptly it starts. Oddlife is also really good. I would love a microtonal guitar, but I'd have to get familiar with a normal guitar first.
I hope you guys have an amazing time at Forest Hills. I was actually originally planning to go to both those shows too but I decided it was too much hassle for me to go to the States, so now I'm just going to the Toronto show next Wednesday!! So psyched, it'll be my second time seeing the boys and my first time seeing Geese which I am arguably more excited for lol
can't wait for Fri & Sat!!!!! PS: they play their first US show of the tour in DC tomorrow... I'm sure it'll be streamed somewhere live if you look/ask around
As good as that version of Oddlife is, it's one of the rare KG songs of which I think I prefer the album version. The clarity of the shimmering keys and the drop into the bridge hit harder. Its worth checking out.

Ontology is my favorite microtonal song. It's like a wacky middle eastern jam with some pretty deep lyrics.
