Army personnel are protectors of the country, including the police men of all states. Army personnel have their own courts to deal with their lapses, if any. Police are only required to salute and inform them of the lapse and report to their commanding officer. If, confirmed of the offence, they will get suitable punishment. They should not be disrespected outside. It would be proper the police in question need be punished and be educated about the matter.

Then how Kerala government has indulged in attacking army personnel staying on annual leave in many places of kerala? Kerala police have gone out of their limits and manhandlef the defence personnel though the accusations were not of serious nature. In all this cases men were subjected to 3rd degree treatment by policemen and no action was taken by central government.
