After having done so much work and experiment on the long range system, are you going to install R9 receivers on your quads from now on? Love all your R9 and GPS tests.
Thank you! Yes i stay with the r9 system and i'm going to install r9 receivers on all of my quads from now on. Maybe it wasn't necessary at this little quad but the r9mini is even perfect because of the size.
as far as I can remember, on my one there were also missing 4 standoffs - as you can see on 1:40 i have used small metal nuts under the ESC as alternative standoffs. Later I have bought some extra standoffs to replace the nuts. I have even sent an email to banggood about the missing standoffs in the hope that they will fix it - apparently, they didn't.
Hello. I have the spectrum spm4648 receiver that want to connect to the tyro79 i have. Need to solder the protocol jumper on the board. Need to know what to solder, the ppm or the sbus. Thanks for help.
I have used a r9 receiver. Don't know this spektrum receiver. If it has a sbus out you just need to use the sbus pin but you probaly need to power it with 3.3 volts - keep that in mind.
@@TheTomy669 Your receiver needs 3.3 volts as you can read in the specs. The tyro board delivers 5v by default. Check the Tyro board if there is a jumper / bridge or solder joint for 3.3v.
I just built it, but there is a slight difference in the order of the motor, after being detected by betaflight .. my no.1 motor is on the lower left, while motor no. 2 is on the top left, motor no.3 is on the top right, and the motor 4th is in the lower right. How to fix it?
@@Sully365 thanks. wich props ?! .. 750 ?? wouldn't that be too heavy overpassing the sweetspot of efficiency ? 5min is pretty good i guess. i've been dissapointed by microquads in the past .. bat100 was / is one of the many. thing is tech is evolving so i see is getting better.
@@djvaliro King Kong 3050. The 750mah battery is a zop, so likely undersized since it doesn't really weigh much. I will say it performs better with that than a gnb 550, so maybe a real 650 is the sweet spot.
I can not figure it out... I got my tyro today and it does work on betaflight(motors can spin via computer) but my transmitter just does not work... It binds to my fs-A8S but in betaflight i get no feedback when moving the sticks... Do you have any idea? I also bridged the connections for ibus
well you have to bind your receiver, that works without betaflight. But you need betaflight to check your channel input. But that's no big deal. Where's your problem why do you want to avoid using betaflight?
Of course i have flown it. Osd and camera works fine but sometimes in some light conditions the osd is flickering but it doesn't bother me. Maybe another capacitor or another fpv camera would fix it.
@@TorbanDallas if I agree in English. I bought this drone and the video transmitter comes with the soldered wires like yours from your video but it does not have the green cable so it does not work can be connected? where I pay the cable to the video transmitter so that smartaudio works? This Video makes me want to buy that quad. Just praying to catch one in good condition. Thank you for this Vid, Torban.
Sehr gut gemacht, Dein english ist sehr gut. Ich bin von Wuppertal und whone jetzt in Meridian Idaho. Nicely done thank you!
Hi, vielen Dank!
Just built it but maybe show the binding I know how difficult it still is for me was my first build great tutorial torban
Great video really informative
Thank you!
Awesome
Add a GPS 😆 you are an expert on rescue mode.
Good Idea :)
R9 antenna, Nice! What do u put over the ends? Shrink tube with a wire tie inside for a little more stiffness?
UAV Tech hi i have used a cable tie and shrinking tube.
my VTX is different to the one you got, mine has a 5 pin port. How do i connect this to the FC

Nice Video I'll start my build tonight! What VTX are you using?
Thanks, that's the vtx that came with the Tyro 79. Looks slightly different to the one on other builds but it seems to be the same.
How many nylon standoffs did you get in the package? I only got four nylons and four rubber. I guess there should be at least eight nylons?

Turn your 4in1 esc or change the motor mapping over the cli.
so are these motors efficient ? .. on wich baterry!? tempted.
