Home Free has been my favorite a cappella band for the last decade. Other groups excel, but HF feeds my soul in extra special ways. "The Man of Constant Sorrow" was featured in Clooney's movie, but it's much, much older than that. Supposedly an Appalachian Mountain Bluegrass folk song, first written down in 1913, it's been recorded by many famous artists, including one of my 60s hereoes, Bob Dylan. The younger generation know it from the movie, but Home Free has brought it back to life for even younger fans. This version demonstrates their huge range of vocal talent and skills. Enjoyed your comments.
This song blew me away when I first heard it & I was completely hooked. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there (5 octave range) & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound such as drums, harmonica etc. Some of my favorites are "Take Me Home Country Roads", "In The Blood", "Ring Of Fire", "Blue Ain't Your Color", "How Great Thou Art", "Elvira", "Hillbilly Bone", "American Pie", "Brother In Arms", "One Man Band", "Listen To The Music", "Sea Shanty Medley", "Skull & Bones" etc.
New subscriber. Great reaction, too! I love it when people discover Home Free. They are a freakishly talented group of fellas that excel in all music genres. They can make you laugh sometimes, they can make you cry sometimes but they always impress. Here's a cheat sheet on the group: Adam Rupp, co-founder of HF and the awesome beatboxer. Tim Foust, bass. He has a five-octave range. Rob Lundquist (glasses and beard) Tenor Harmony. Austin Brown, Lead Tenor. Adam Chance, Baritone ( goes by Chance). Chance replaced Chris Rupp (co-founder) who left in 2016. Take Me Home Country Roads is phenomenal but you might also want to check out Dreamer, When A Man Loves A Woman, End Of The Road, One Man Band, American Pie featuring Don McLean, I Swear, Blue Ain't Your Color, Dive Bar Saints, The Driver, Crazy and Folsom Prison Blues. For some funny ones: Butts Medley, All About That Bass, Champagne Taste, Hillbilly Bone and Ray Stevens' Mississippi Squirrel Revival. For some serious ones: How Great Thou Art, Go Rest High On That Mountain. When you are familiar with all the boys and their vocal roles, do Mayday. And last but not least, Brothers In Arms. It is haunting and beautiful. They have recently released several new songs that you will want to check out. Unchained Melody, Listen to the Music, Brother and Stargazer Lilies trilogy: Give Me A Sign, Stargazer Lilies and Mr. ...Their latest releases are Might As Well Be Me, Playing With Fire, Remember My Name, Oh, Pretty Woman, Cruise, Stand By Me, Colder Weather and Life is a Highway. To switch it up..try Two Country Singers try singing Opera. Adam Chance just wrote the theme song to Ubisoft's new Pirate themed video game, Skull and Bones and Home Free performs it. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!
In addition to your great song list, check out their version of Lee Greenwood's hit "God Bless the USA." They also recorded with Lee Greenwood and the military choir the "Singing Sargeants."
Such a good rendition. They all get to shine. Chance was doing the “mouth harp” sound. When live Austin joins Adam in doing the harmonica sound. Adam was doing the drums, harmonica and other sounds. Love Home Free!🤩😄
There was a show called "The Sing-Off" which was an acapella group competition, with judges, etc. probably shows like Glee and movies like Pitch Perfect, and the wave of acapella might have been why the show got started. Anyway, it ran for only 5 years and some great groups got a boost in their careers by being on it. Home Free was in season 4 and won the competition for that season.
I love Home Free!! I was able to take my son to a concert of theirs back in June 2023! They have an original I think you’d like, it’s called Land Of The Free! I just found your channel! I subbed!
here is a good mix of Home Free music. "Butts Melody aka Butts Remix", "When a Man Loves a Woman", "Listen to the Music", "Country Roads", "The Gambler", "Love Train", "Elvira with the Oak Ridge Boys", "Working for a Liven", "Skull n Bones", "Delta Dawn". "God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood. Home Free works as a group and some of them also do solo or with one or two of the other members of Home Free, They also done colabs with others like Peter Hollens on his version of "I Still haven't Found What I am looking for". Note: the video game maker Ubisoft commisioned Home Free to write and preform a song for their new video game of the same title, "Skull n Bones."
New sub because of Home Free. Welcome to the "rabbit hole" known as Home Free. Hold on & enjoy the ride. Keep reacting to HF & us "home fries will swarm. Great reaction.
Home Free is my #2 favorite group. #1 is VoicePlay. They were on The Sing-off together with Home Free and are good friends. I gave them the #TheatreKidsOfACapella as they like to do more theatrical things. They sing everything from Metallica, Disney, Broadway, and gaming themes like HALO and The Dragonborn Comes. The bass Geoff Castellucci has his own channel and does his Low bass covers like "Far Over The Misty Mountains Cold and I See Fire from The Hobbit movies. He likes to clone himself whom he has named, and sing all the parts with his almost 5-octave range. Explore their channels and fall down the rabbit hole.
We are proud proud to call ourselves home fries. I've been a home fry for two and a half years. Play Home Free songs and subscribers will come running. We're extremely INVESTED in these five fellas. Their catalog is HUGE and really varied. They take turns sharing lead in their songs. They can be extremely funny or romantic or serious. They sing country, pop, r&b, patriotic, hymns and even opera. You will love their version of Stand By Me, one of their most recent songs. Dive in! They have over 300 videos to choose from.
Please, Please, Please! Did I say please? Listen to their version of Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA." They also made a version with Lee Greenwood and the Military Choir the "Singing Sargeants."
Home Free is probably the most active group I've ever seen. They all interact with their fans a great deal. They have acknowledged reactors such as yourself on many occasions. Even sending them videos of encouragement, inserting into chats, etc. They are amazing. Even during the whole C lockdown, they found a way to make and release videos for us. My wife and I saw them live last year in Fort Smith, and they are wonderful live. Tim actually shakes the seats with his low bass notes. I would like to suggest that you check out their collaborations, Children go where I send thee with Kenny Rogers, American Pie with Don McLean. God the USA with Lee Greenwood, Elvira with the OakRidge Boys, Christmas in Dixie with Alabama, just to name a few. Their catalog is very deep. You won't be disappointed at all. Hope you have a wonderful day.

Nice reaction, welcome to the incredible world of Home Free. The volume of the song was excellent, but you could hardly hear your comments, vol. way to low. See if you can fix that.
You need to adjust your settings. I can barely hear you speaking, then the video started and it was way too loud. At the end before uploading, take your headphones off and listen to what we all hear. You are not the only YT’er that makes their videos too quiet when they are speaking.
Lol, I prefer the cute intro be skipped. Some reactors take 15-20 minutes or longer before they get into the song. As a truck driver I don't have time for all of that. 😊

Tim Faust is the bass singer in Home Free. To see him at his best see Tom Hollins&Tim Faust Misty Mountains
It's Peter Hollins- I miss names too sometimes!
Tim Foust and Peter Hollens ❤
#HomeFree #HomeFries
couple of my favorites they did is mayday, and delta dawn.
The bass is Tim Foust he has side projects as they all do, his cover with Peter
Holllens of Misty Mountains from Lord Of The Rings movies shows his bass, with a killer low note and Peter is an amazing singer himself. The two leads here Austin and Rob Do a video 2 country singers try singing opera it' also amazing, As a group try The butt's Remix it's 8 years old but hilarious., can't really go wrong with any choice.
The movie was loosely based on Homer’s “Odyssey.”

Do you have any idea how I can do that? I'm still pretty new at the reaction videos scene and am still learning. I use OBS.

It's pretty good but Geoff castelluchi does a deep bass cover of ,man of constant sorrow it's much better take a look
They are both very good and there is no reason to make it some kind of competition.
Tim and Geoff are friends.
We can love all the a cappella singers.
You're free and easy speaking is way better than all those made up intros. Just my opinion
Ooo okay, thanks. I appreciate your feedback
Where the hell have you been living,,,everyone loves HF...wow !!!!
I can see why!! 🤍🤍
