We had a husky lab. Years after found his guard hairs on the china in the highest kitchen cupboard. Currently have a Pyrenees/boxer/Rottweiler mix. Every time I set my purse down, at work, a cloud of black hair flies out and covers my desk. 🙄
@@matildabishops9196 well no, but I can describe him. He weighs about 120 lbs. He has the Rottweiler coloring, rottie/Pyrenees body, stocky but with thick slightly curly hair. Boxer legs, kinda looks a bit like a bus on stilts, but really lovely and tall with the most graceful feet. His face is shaped like a husky, more pointed with a longer snout. Best toothy smile ever. Ears are definitely rottie, especially when he’s focused on something. Eyes are almond shaped and look very wise, but gentle like the Pyrenees. His tail is a mystery as it’s very long, straight with curls at the tip. We got him from the Humane Society when he was 10 months old and at the time I thought he looked like a hound dog. We did a dna test on him, which I really recommend, so we could better understand his temperament. Lots of Pyrenees attitude, he thinks he knows better than everyone and very independent and smart. He mimics, so learned at a young age how to unlock the deadbolt and open the door. Then he had to learn NOT to do that. Very sensitive to being talked to sternly, so have to calmly explain why he’s in trouble. Real couch potato, but quietly very protective of family. Wouldn’t recommend breaking into our house as he would most likely just seem to appear out of nowhere before knocking you to the ground and going for the neck. Otherwise he’s just a gentle giant, who adores all small animals, like hamsters, ferrets, frogs, annoying chihuahuas, etc.
I have 3 australian sheperd and I can tell you that they are dogs that are in constant need of attention and are among the most docile dogs you can have Edit: If you look closely you will also notice that they love to be dried with towels
I put the happy hoodie on Luna and she immediately tells me I'm too skinny, asks if I'm eating enough and tells me to sit down, she's making me something to eat. She also comments on how I'm taller every time she sees me.
One of my rescue aussies came to me because their previous owner was moving to hospice. & the family couldn't take in any more. I adopted through a rescue, so I was able to send some photos to the previous owner to reassure her how her beloved dog was getting on. It was such a heartbreaking transition, honestly. This channel has been so helpful for me learning better ways to take care of my aussies' coats.

I would assume whoever surrendered Luna must have done it out of love since she was clearly well trained and well cared for. Sometimes circumstances are out of our control.
@@lishengshun2873 Not necessarily. She might aswell be a former Herdingdog. They act like that too - looking for queues even some can act alone when they know where the stock is suppose to go. That might have been the reason for her surrender - sometimes there to nice to the livestock, which makes them unfit to heard. I'm not thinking she's a ex supporting given the breeds temperament and all.
Not gonna lie, this video had me crying a bit. The dog I grew up with was an Aussie mix, and this beautiful girl reminds me so much of him. He sadly passed away in June, and it still stings.
I adore red Merles, many years ago my Mom got a retired show dog. Her red was a bit deeper and she was retired by the breders after having 1 litter. They became certified with Pet Partners and helped kids llearn to be comprotable reading out loud, visiting senior homes, and as her own support gog. Ginger spontaneoulsy began alerting Mom to blood pressuer extremes (Thanks MS) and Gginger is deeply missed.
The paw on the arm, and the loving look on her face as she puts her paw on the groomer’s arm, is so heartwarming, that I can hardly stand it. Dogs are a gift. And, doggie love is the purest of all. Am I right?!
I just realized, it looks like Luna may have heterochromia (one of her eyes is light hazel while the other is white/bright blue). That’s pretty endearing for an already precious doggy.
Yes, that is a common characteristic of the breed. While I have had Aussies with brown eyes and blue eyes, I also have one that has one of each. Also, an eye that is marbled (not sure what the technical term is) is common, too. Shades of brown and blue in the same eye are very interesting.
@@Adenfall Heterochromia in dogs and humans is NOT indicative of deafness. With cats, those that are solid white and have heterochromia are very, very often deaf. Cats of other coat colors and heterochromia are not deaf.

Wow, what a beautiful well behaved dog. My Cassie was a street dog, ( I live in Turkey) and she just turned up on my doorstep one day, and never left. She's more Border Collie than anything else, and she is so sweet & clever. I don't understand why anyone would dump any dog, let alone one that is so well behaved.
This is very relaxing to watch. That dog is gorgeous and you handled her so well. I used to dog sit for a Labradoddle who LOVED to get washed and particularly loved the blow dryer. Even if she wasn’t wet, we’d sit on the couch and I’d use the blow dryer on no heat and just fluff her and she loved it! 😆

Wow. I want this person in our locale!! Awesomeness at every step. And Luna looks and behaves like the love of our lives, a dear Collie we took in with the MOST sublime demeanor. Absolutely perfect animal and she live 15 years, her last 8 with us, dying only last January from a terrifying massive brain aneurysm. Ughhhh. We miss her every day. This was like seeing her again.
