Well done mate! Winter is usually the time for big Redfin, especially around the start and there was a fair few bigger models in the lower part of the river over the summer.
Nice video Jordy. I think we started fishing the river around the same time and had a similar learning curve. I had heaps of fish on those munroes paddle tails in Glass Monkey. Also had a lot of top water success on the Jackall micro pompadour. Looking forward to next summer and going to give those slippery dogs a good run out. Keep up the good work.
G'day Jordy, great vid mate very informative, I have a question about your last vid, in it you stated you were fishing the Werribee river between Eynesbury and Cobble dicks ford is this stretch of the river accessible by foot or do you drive to certain spots for access. keep the great vids coming, Cheers.
75mm Double Clutches have worked for me best but I've fished it mostly on kayak, from the bank I've flicked small soft plastics and 60mm Double Clutches with success.
@@jordythebassist thank i been struggling with all the lure i got, 38mm atomic crack, mepps spinner, rapala shadow soild shad and shit ton of lure non of them works. I when there early morning the fish were striking on top, I migh try surface lures. I saw 40cm Cod too.
@@jasonkurtrix357 water temps are still a bit cold at the moment, I would guess another month or so and there should be some more fish around. Those lures will all work in the res!
@@jasonkurtrix357 haha yeah that's fair mate, I would even be considering throwing some frog plastics or spinnerbaits this time of year in there as the Yellowbelly should be biting .
Yeah mate, it's my local river system. There's a heap of snags from the Melton reservoir, all the way down to the Werribee train station that hold fish.
Just finished watching the Premiere, nice job mate. I'll keep this in mind when I'm down your way.
Can guide you for an episode mate hahaha collab style 😎
Nice one, went and threw an osp bent minnow yesterday and nailed a couple of reddies. Who'd have thought in winter.

Cheers David, you got some bloody nice fish down there last summer!
Definitely keen for next summer, those Bass will be bigger too 💪
Great video mate. This time of year I like to use a vibe as well as many of your lures you showed.
Thanks for adding to the lure choices mate! I tried vibes up at the reservoir on the kayak but they just kept getting snagged lol
FISHIN' WITH JORDY! Yeah not great in snaggy areas mate. You can remove the front trebles and then even assist hooks on the back, helps a little. 🤙

Thanks mate 🙂 you can get to a few spots around those areas by car and then walk down to the river. Cobbledicks Ford reserve is a good place to try.
