    السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Absolutely incredible inspiration here. I understand where people are coming from when they feel burned by “outwardly pious” Muslims who might treat people poorly all while never missing a single sunnah rakah, and end up downplaying direct/raw acts of worship.
But it’s also really bothered me when people frame Islamic worship like that- I just didn’t know why it bothered me. I heard it a lot when I first became Muslim and people told me to “chill out” basically and emphasized that Islam is more about akhlaq and adab so on so forth. It seemed really weird since one of the biggest differences between Islam and my previous religion was that Islam emphasized direct worship so much from what I could gather as a brand new Muslim, and my previous religion had all but abandoned direct worship in favor of softer practices like “fasting” by drinking juice for part of a day or just being soft on what are historically prohibitions in most religions by emphasizing forgiveness.
I get the same feeling I used to get when I belonged to my old religion when some Muslims downplay raw acts of worship. It makes me feel like it’s cheapening Islam, making it two-dimensional, if one abandons the importance of raw worship.
Great video, thanks so much for the knowledge and insight. May Allāh reward you and anyone involved in making these halaqas available to us. May Allāh make it easy for us all to intensify our raw acts of worship, may He keep us firm upon His deen and grant us all guidance.🤲🏼
