Thanks for taking to time to report that this method is still viable. It takes a number steps to get it done. But the software is free. This time of the year some might find it helpful for cutting Xmas figures that they have drawings for.
Fair question, but not really. I no longer use Windows. But did google the two software apps, and they both seem to still lead to active websites. So suspect, while the apps may be upgraded, the basic idea should still work. Give it a try, and let the rest of the community know how it works out.
I downloaded everything only to find it won't work for me. I want to print a part that's 4 feet in diameter, but there's no paper in that size. At the bottom of all paper options it says custom paper size, but when I choose that there's nowhere to enter my custom sizes. Ugh.

+j vdbogaard Glad you found it & appreciate hearing from you. BTW. Its been a while since I posted this video, If you went through the process and found issues with it, please comment. Hopefully it will save others from falling into a similar trap
it works fine! I'm making a cnc mill but the plate's are in .dxf file. it worked fine for me. here is the link to the project. www.instructables.com/id/3D-printed-CNC-mill/
For my needs I was able to print straight from TrueView. What took me hours was finding a way to convert FBX to DXF. My particular software exported my geometry data to an FBX file that seemed to be 'corrupt' to every FBX->DXF converter I could find. In the end I wrote a short python script that output a simple DXF myself that I print with TrueView.
This may be an older video, but you, sir, are a life-saver! Thank you!

I'll add to the previous comments THANK YOU! This works beautifully.
Can confirm in 2024 that this still works. Thank you so much!

Thank you! It's so much easier when I see someone do it. Works great for my many projects.
Very helpful thanks - many years late to the party - but just managed to get the DXF I needed to print 1:1 with this tutorial

How did you get the window option tool??
Good question.
Stop the video at 5:28. There you should see how the "window" view is selected.
Hope this helps you get the print you need

I am having the same problem. I was hoping to print out a template for a 7ft boat but can't use any paper size over a few inches.

GREAT!!!
It only ever prints a single page. Not much good when my drawing spans multiple pages
Great, thanks. (Y)
