    I believe this is the first 360 degree honing video in existence. Nicely done and congratulations!

    Who , or what is your camera person 😊
    360° carousel veiw !
    1k stone is bad enough for cutting through tape ,course diamond plate is murder ! I bow to your knowledge on jnats, not my favourite stones as so many variables ? What were those NOS razors .
    I'm still wondering what that massive stack of what looks like knife sleeves are , are they support pillars ,slates ! Unique video , always great insights ❤.
    Please say hello to co- pilot from me 😊.

      thank you for the kind words Martin. I'm camera man, sound engineer, storyteller and village clown 😀Those are indeed slate-covered support pillars for the concrete beam and roof. Co-Pilot sends regards, she loves all pleasant creatures. best wishes Martin

      @@Martins-Shaves123 I tried those, it's way to soft with not cutting power, essentially hard clay.

    What stones need to be slowly hydrated? Certain jnats? I could be using mine wrong.

      @@T33wh7 sort answer is that all stones that absorb water quickly off the working surface needs hydration. best wishes

    Hi Jacques. Great video, thank you. I have a quick question: on a brand new razor, with no bevel at all, how many laps do you use to set a bevel. Cheers.

    • @dappershaves
      @dappershaves  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      thank you for the kind words and question. Not the answer you want to hear, but here goes. there is no set number of laps, each razor is different, bevel condition is different, stones are different, user technique and pressure are different and many other considerations. One side or portion of the bevel might require more work than the other. So the answer is the bevel is set when its set unfortunately. shaving arm hairs, nail or tomato test will be your indicators when done. I hope this helped, best wishes

      Thank you, my friend. I somehow knew you were going to say something along those lines 😃 but it was still useful to hear it and I had forgotten about the tomato test. I've never done that. Have a good day. Cheers 🍻
