    Those lizards have an immaculate vibe, 100 out of 10 for the pair of knight Anole. Also, cool enclosure, anoles prove, so do I.

    Oh man, I absolutely love the enclosed upper section of that tank for the lights and such. Such a great idea.
    I have 2 Kages enclosures (one 4x2x2 and one 3x2x2) and literally the only negative thing I can say about them is that by the time you add in all the lights inside the enclosure it feels like you lose a good 6 inches of space, especially when you're using a heat lamp and a protective cage, and it can kind of make it rough to get a proper distance between the lights and the basking spots. I had to sink my basking platform almost completely to the bottom of the tank to get it far enough from the light to be safe because it's a rather tall piece, and frankly I'm still using a smaller wattage bulb than I'd really like to make sure the basking spot isn't too hot because I just can't get enough distance with the bulb being mounted inside the enclosure.
    Having an extra 6+ inches as an enclosed "compartment" at the top so that the cage is still fully enclosed ( I need a fully-enclosed cage because I have cats so a screen top won't do) but the lights can be separated from the animals' space is wonderful, and would allow me more room to have a warmer bulb and heat the overall enclosure while not having the hot spot get too high.
    I really hope Kages goes ahead and adds that as an option for all sizes and types of enclosures. There's not a whole lot of reason for me to upgrade my enclosures in the near future, but that is one feature that might actually make me seriously consider it.

    The enclosure was setup when we were in store the other day. It is an awesome setup and the cuban knight anoles are super cool. We really enjoyed them.

    Love the enclosure! Would love of a pair of the knights myself, specifically Blue Beauties, if I could ever afford a pair. But for now, I absolutely love my small group of false chameleons. Got many babies out of them and are taking me a while to find them homes. In any case, would love to see a vid one day of a cage build for a pair of false chameleons in the future. Keep up the awesome work!!

    Any tips on growing Ficus Tree’s? I tried growing one for my chameleon with your substrate but it didn’t do well. Assuming I watered it to much or to little and tips?

    Hi, I just got my first Cuban Knight Anole and my temperature at night are around 75-80 degrees, never less or even low 70's, but sometimes he is very dark and seems to need more heat. During the day the beautiful colors are coming back, temperature are arround 85-90 degrees, not more than 90, and the bottom of the terrarium is at 75-80, but he seems to not moove a lot. He moove sometimes, I don't see him really eat cause he is also shy but I hink he is eating his crickets I don't see a lot of them still. He drinks easily everyday and the humidity is always high between 65-80%. I just want to know if I should give him more heat at night or something, I don't want him to overheating of course that's why I'm really stressed and confused. What to do for him to be more active during the day, maybe eat more ?Maybe I should put a light for the plants and him too, I have a heat lamp 100W and a UVB lamp Arcadia. My terrarium is 36x18x36, got natural plants and some branches of course for him. I would love any help please, I really want to be the best owner for him.

      Hey Thomas! it is awesome you want to make sure he is taken care of! Reptiles have the ability to do whats called "firing up" (being brightly colored) or "firing down"(being darker colored) in color, due to kind of any reason? it does not directly mean they require more heat, the temperatures you listed seem to be fine, i would offer a basking spot range of 90-95 during the day time. for night time temperatures, as long as they do not go into the 60s it will be perfect. For the food options, you can always offer the non- jumping prey(dubia roaches, meal worms, super worms) in a bowl they cannot crawl out of to make sure he is taking the food, or tong feed individual items to the anole. The live plants would need an LED to help them thrive, i will link the dudes LEDs for you here, www.thebiodude.com/collections/led-reptile-lighting/products/t5-ho-single-bulb-light-strip-36 I hope this helps, please let us know if you have any other questions, please reach out to customercare@thebiodude.com - The Dude Abides

    Under tank heater with Bioactive setup? will that work with a snake set up

    • @TheBioDudeJoshHalter
      @TheBioDudeJoshHalter  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there! the heating pad will not penetrate the substrate layers like the heat from the heating bulb will from the top, the idea is to recreate the heating options the way it would naturally so that the bioactive process will thrive naturally as it does in the wild. Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions!

      Ah, yeah....That is an issue with privately owned franchises/enterprises when it comes to things like that. You have good ones and not so good ones. We have fixed up many so-so and given those animals another shot at life! Its very rewarding knowing that we try to make a difference in their lives.

    My cat just brought me a juvenile Cuban knight anole 2 days ago..
    I believe he injured it because it can't use its back legs and the tip of the tale is missing no biggie.
    I put him in a pet carrier temporarily while I'm trying to nurse it back to health to release him I'm in West Palm Beach florida. Any help in keeping the guy alive would be appreciated.
