How is recarbonating clinker sustainable? Isn’t that just wasting the clinker by returning it to limestone state?

Thanks for the very practical video! I'm just left wondering, and maybe you know the answer to this, are metal oxides something we might want/need to deploy for any other technology in the future that could eventually release that captured CO2 back into the atmosphere?
