Assalam o Alaikum Everyone !
I'm Mahnoor Shawal , first year MBBS student at Fatima Jinnah Medical University Lahore. I took my NMDCAT last year and got 188 out of 200. I've started this channel to help, guide and motivate my juniors who are gonna appear in this mdcat .

I am also from Sialkot. Your story is really interesting. I got 1029 marks in 10th class Federal Board. On the contrary, I jumped into the Punjab Board and joined a government college and focused on the academy. Unfortunately, I got 440 marks in 11th which was very sad for me. I expected to get 470 marks in 11th.And unfortunately the 12th exams were canceled. I scored 977 in 12th.I knew full well after the result, I would do it next year. Then I thought I would go abroad. I was looking at many universities in different countries. It was amazing, I passed the entrance test of British Columbia University. I couldn't believe I had passed the British Columbia University entrance test. But fee was very close to Pakistani 3.5 million per semester not annual. Luckily I got admission. My performance in the first semester was very high and I got a score of 98%. I finished second in the first semester and received a scholarship in the second semester. A little bit, an introduction to my university. The University of British Columbia is one of the top 30 universities in the world. It is ranked 28th in the world. King Edward Medical College has a global ranking of over 8,000. Currently, I work part time after university and earn 200,000 in just one month. Praise be to ALLAH, I'm sooooooooo much happy. And I know you very well😂

Lemme tell u my own story.
From kpk , where merit is comparatively lower than punjab.
I am from a village in kpk, far away from cities. Here, Schools are of quite poor standard and there is only one private college.
Because of financial difficulties i couldn't move out to cities to study in good institutions. So I completed my matric and fsc from my village. I had to do all on my own, just from books and guides. There were no good enough teachers. Plus, i was quite weak student.
9th/2011 : 313/ 525 with cheating.
10th/2012 : 451/525. Because i worked hard and also because this year entire board result was higher because of loose checking.
11th/2013: i improved 9th, 313 to 367. My matric marks improved from 764 t0 818.
Firstyear marks : worked hard:401/550
12th/2014 : worked hard 406/ 550.
So Matric : 818/1050
Fsc : 827 / 1050. (highest marks in village)
One thing i want to make clear is that back in our college time , board used to check papers more strickly than now.
900 were considered best in 2014
1000+ are considered best now.
When i completed fsc, i had no concepts because i had nothing to clear concepts. No Internet, No academy, no teachers.no guidance. Also i was completely unaware of the high standard and competion out in the cities. I had no one to guide me properly in this regard. My educational base was so weak that i learnt addition and subtraction of numbers after fsc. Also i couldn't move out of village to city to join academy because of several unfortunate factors. So i never joined academy.
2014 etea : 46 % marks.
Kpk Fsc syllabus changed. So i didn't attempt to improve to fsc. I plan was to secure good marks In test rather than improving fsc which was possible at that time.
2015: 47 % marks. ( couldn't study properly)
2016: i started teaching at local school
No etea attempt. Because i thought just couldn't. I gave up.
2017: no attempt.. Continued teaching
2018: 52% marks( attempted with little preps)
Here is when bad things started to happen. Negetive marking finished, admisson criteria changed because of which subsequent tests became much easier. People then used to secure much higher marks in test...and so. Fsc score became much important for selection.
With time my concepts became so stronger because i worked hard on indian books which indian students study for NEET/JEE exams. My concepts in some areas became far better than whats required for ETEA. But still there were many deficiencies. I still didn't know the shortcuts, tips, tricks and preparation strategies etc. I never gave academy test. Etc
Also, because of unfortunate changes in pmdc test/ admission criteria i wanted to improve fsc now but i couldnt because of board rules.
2019: 76% marks. (little prepation) secured better marks because my concepts were better, no negetive marking, test was designed easy because of changed pmdc policy. So overall test result was much higher. This is where importence of fsc comes in.
2020: i decided to study as hard as i can. Along with teaching in school to support my faimly, i studied hard. Memorized stuff, improved concepts, learnt tips and tricks from internet, solved good mcqs books and much more. Then, in a bad twist of luck, pmc replaces pmdc. National mdcat replaces etea. At 1st no syllabus was announced than syllabus was changed several times and finalized syllabus was almost less than half of kpk syllabus for etea. Lot of hard work went in vain.
Test dates changes several time.. Gave me lot of depression.. (cant explain in words).
Finally
2020 NMDCAT: 90% marks (180/200).
My review :The test was easier.
Plus i could have secured arround 190 if could have attempted academy practise tests before actual mdcat.
Since the test was easy... Students secured much higher marks in test. In kpk there are about 1200 seats.. I was among the top 250 kpk students in term of test results but i was rejected because of my low fsc. I would not have been selected even if i have secured 190+ /200.
So the doors closed.
Now.....
I couldn't improve fsc because of board rules.
I couldn't get selected even if i secure 200 in test because of test easy format and selection criteria.
Dreams shattered.
Why?
Several unfortunate factors.
My own terrible mistakes count too.
Why i continued so long? Sounds stupid.
Because i had dreamed of becoming gastroenterologist. I just love it. I still love it.
You made it. So work hard. Enjoy and love this noble profession.

@@uzairhussain4856 I can't write all the details but I was only child of my parents and that being daughter. My mother wanted me to become a doctor. In 2012 ,my matric marks were not so high but average. I have no guidance, no academies, no internet. Unfortunately, in first year i switched to Punjab Board which has strict marking system than Federal Board. Didn't get high marks so decided to repeat first year from Federal Board. I completed my F. Sc. in 2015 and i was topper of my college. Till my F. Sc.,i didn't have any internet. After that i got internet and PC for preparation for MDCAT but time was too short and i had to learn all the basics of computer and net. One mishap happened,my mother got too sick and her chances of recovery were too low. I felt my world was ending. I couldn't go to any academy for preparation.I self studied but couldn't prepare well bcs i was mentally disturbed due to my mother's condition plus had no guidance. I took NUMS and MDCAT but
couldn't make to Medical college. Couldn't afford to repeat one year as i repeated my first year already. I took admission in B. Sc., life continued. In 4th year my Father got ill. Again it had bad impact on my studies. But with the help of ALLAH i completed my B. Sc. Then in 2017 I went to University for M. Sc. Recently, I have done my M. Phil.
When i couldn't make to medical college, my dreams were shattered. I felt i couldn't give my mother happiness. But then I made up mind, medical isn't the end of the world. So, I'm here and I'm satisfied with my life and my qualifications. Just want to do something better and good with what i have gained.
Shared my story so that u are not alone in this. I know it hurts but ALAH has better plans for us. Stay blessed. Fighting.
I seroiusly dont have words how much u struggle in ur life but i am sure u will achieve something more better.Because giving up on dreams is not easy u should work hard because only we can do in our life or on what we have control is to do our best and give the 100% so hope Allah will have great plans for u 😊

More power to you. Your story is quite similar to my theeta friend who scored 1081 in matric but unexpectedly he scored 424 in 1st year. But in nmdcat he scored 186. While in my case, i scored 1052 in matric nd 452 in 1st year(marks in physics were unfair). In nmdcat due to unfair result couldn't make it to med school last year. But with the hope dat Almight will surely reward my hardwork one day, em improving this year. Need prayers:)

I got 95% marks in 9th class and in 10th class I hope to get 96% marks but totally was reversed I got 93% marks it was shocking for me but I don't lose heart and making my best to get good marks in fsc inshallah
Oh my god seriously same thing happened with me but I got 96 percent in 9th and got 93 percent in 10th I cried whole night but hardwork never disappoints u... I believe in Allah I just hate pakistan's education system they just .... Well this happened to me too . I had 468 marks in 9th and then improved to 481 in matric. Then i got in 1st year but unfortunately or fortunately got promoted . Now i am doing 2nd year and hope the best for myself and my fellows . I am also preparing MDCAT nowadays

@@aliahmadkhan6795 no, I have already prepared my FSC 2nd year syllabus and now I am preparing ECAT altough I am a pre medical student . The reason behind this is that I want to prepare myself beforehand for MDCAT . I am also giving the test series of FSC 2nd year with the ECAT and MDCAT preparation going along with it .The other reason is that we pre medical students won't get sufficient time for the preparation of our entry test after our FSC examinations . So its better to prepare yourself now that you are having time as well . Why waste it ?
A.o.a!! I can relate myself with it, I got 1096 marks in Matric,but in FSc I got 433 in 1st year , but now it's 2nd year , I want you to pray for me, I am taking MDCAT in present year
I got 152 by studying at home. I feel ashamed but I am gonna try again this year.

Exactly same situation I faced .I got 98% in matric and 89% in 1st year, which was heartbreaking but Now alhammdullilah medical student of Dow medical college, Karachi. I was also chosen in Fatima jinnah, lahore (quota seat). But this year uhs finished the quota seats in fjmu. Indeed allah is best planner. And everybody is destined, just keep doing hard work.

In 2020 I went through same circumstances , confusions,demotivated, feeling low and extremely hopeless 😩 . Unfortunately I didn’t performed well last year hopefully this year may Allah almighty make it easier for me and all the students. So all the time listening to your story I could relate to each aspect of it but mine has a tragic twist at the end. Again failure💔💔

Omg this really motivated me. Mahnoor api thankyou so much. Mujhe aj kal yehi stress hota rehta hai 24/7 k fsc ki tyari puri ni hai boards any waly hain aur Practicals bhi deny hon gy jin ka kuch pta ni hai. 1st year main 423 marks hain abhi 2nd year hua ni. Mcat bhi PMc ny lena hai sari books parhni hon gi. Yeh soch soch k dil ghabarata rehta hai. But ab ap ki is video k bad mujhe apna ghum to ghum lag hi ni raha. Asal masley main to 2020 waly students thy. aur agar phir bhi is sb k bad bhi ap ka FJMU lahore main ho sakta hai to mera kyun ni. Full motivated hun ab. Thankyou ❤

alhamdullilah i got 993 m,arks in matric .505 out of 500 marks in 9th .then i got 477 marks in 1st year and 968 marks in fsc ..then i got 162 marks in mdcat in fresh ,,but i dont got admssion in any medical clg
