For the rangefinder suggestion, i’d instead replace it with binoculars that can just do the same thing and mark enemies and how far away they are similarly to flares.
As an Ow player, Few things I've always wanted to be added was more variation to enemy ai(or maybe even a slight buff to the ai) and a rework to their pathfinding/behavior bc currently the ai hasn't been the same since pre stealth update.

A) Thermals, they arent sadly possible in our case, only use case would be thermal optics such as skeet ir, but sadly even that would require too much work or even possible rework of scopes. Other than scopes, thermal nvgs are cool but just like our trello's criteria, they are too modern and are not fully adopted. B) LMG's, they are infact used by special forces ofc, its a very effective weapon for its purpose, the reason we do not have it yet is due to the lack of the features, mainly bipoding and suppression, as without these features it would just be your avarege ar with less fire rate and a whole load of bullets.

I would prefer the rail mounted rangefinder, with a mechanic that would display the range of whatever you are aiming at in the bottom right of your scope, when you zoom in. this would make sniping or dmr gameplay more viable, i love sniping but missing half my shots with only 45 bullets sucks. Also i hope they add lmgs/saws.
The only feature or some items that somewhat needs to be added for openworld could: -Ascenders with ascender launcher to grapple on large scale wall for different entry points -spotter scope for observation of the area and being able to tag enemy position for a short time (i saw or heard at the live of gameloaded entertainment that gadgets or tactical equipment could be coming) -being able to use your secondary weapons when downed for self defense while waiting for your teammate to heal you and maybe ability to carry you or a possible self revive feature but could be used to one time only -stealth takedowns just via holding T with an simple animation of a small melee weapon stabbing in the neck of the enemy or a large melee weapon and hitting the enemy on the head animation asset could just be the same for different melee
thermal should be openworld ONLY since in pvp for players who dont have a nvg the y are alr at a disadvantage, now imagine they added thermals, it would be incredibly unfair to them since you could spot the from as far your render dist reaches
For the Range finder: a new Scope, it would only have 8x zoom, but, it has a range finder, and i think, a, uhm, 4-5 star maybe, and, 10 000 credits, as it would be OP af.
What if the screw off suppressor would basically get hot or smthn then you’d have to take it off and clean the barrel or smth like that. Basically weapons cleaning
gonna be real hard to do it just right constantly cleaning my gun and somehow having my military suppressor get hot as hell despite it taking over 400-500 rounds of constant shooting for it to get to a good temp where you don't wanna stick your hand on it, gonna be real fun
What i would like is a bit of consistency lol i be hitting straight headshots and enemies dont die i put it on full auto instead of single fire and one bullet touch their head its over when they are alert i feel like sometimes they can tank a few head shots lol oh and make the body armor do something and make it take damage so you have to maintain it and some may be heavy or whatever and also make the med bag allow you to hold more heal items along with grenade pouches and mags and also just thought when the vest get damaged you start taking more and more damage
a stream would sound really nice, maybe a community post? you sound like you just woke up or tired thermal vision would sound nice, just like breakpoint, but fusion NVGs would be so expensive, it would be good for long range combat though you've been asking for the suppressor thing for a long time, I think they should add it too range finder would be nice, but it would probably have to be like really expensive aswell
an E.C.O.T.I purchasable upgrades for the dual PVS14's would make sense as a feature the downside would be that the E.C.O.T.I is going to be expensive like the PVS31

It wouldn't be hard at all: Assuming they put all the enemies in a folder in the workspace, they could just use UIS to detect what key has been pressed, then they for loop through the folder and instance.new a highlight into all children of the enemy folder for i,v in pairs("folder"):GetChildren do: if v IsA:("Model") --or any other defining feature of the enemies then instance.new("Highlight") highlight.Parent = v --Highlight parameteres

Not a crucifixion, I just happen to know a bit about the game's development. Hi. I try my best to stay up to date on everything the devs are doing so here's what I know. LMG's are currently in consideration for being added. Gnar (the creator of the game) is on record saying he didn't want them in the past but is reconsidering (Also suppressive fire means shooting around the enemy to keep them from peeking). For the first idea the devs haven't said anything about weapons loadouts but I doubt they'll add it. They have mentioned not adding additional loadouts or "Dividing stats/loadouts/etc between gamemodes" reason being "More loadouts = more data per player." I actually love your thermal lacing idea sadly the devs have it listed as a "likely reject" due to "considerable balancing implications." Your 3rd point they've said littary nothing about it althrough personally I don't see any advantage. Unless someone is using the multicaliber the weight makes almost no difference. Also what was your 4th idea I'm curious? For your 5th idea the devs have said "‘point shooting’ with aggressive canting of the weapon is unrealistic" but they haven't said anything about reasonable canting. For your 6th idea the closest thing I could find for it was the NGSW program's scope. Which is under rejected for "not within the game's scope + limited data in the public domain to reference for modeling/configuration. Off topic but the devs do leve comments on some videos espically with clairfaction for things. I personally got one from prob the same guy about the RAL 8K being limited to H&K guns. But anyways it's always good to see a new BRM5 creator, Keep it up!

My 4th idea was a deidcated cover system where you could lock into cover, rather than just crouching/standing behind something. Too ambitious/not that great due to me scrapping it. Thermal vision is also good when there's a thick fog or heavy rainfall (since they added new weathers and NOD becomes less useful in thick fog)

I 100% agree, there's a segment of my video where I hit some dude in stealth in the head but it didn't register, and I was detected
