Have I completely lost my mind? I sure hope so! I found this MASSIVE collection of computers from the 1980s thru the early-mid 2000s, and I bought ALL OF THEM! Be sure to subscribe as I'm going to be tearing down, testing and restoring (to the best condition possible) each and every one of these!

Your obvious excitement after getting your hands on all those old PCs is really adorable.
I've seen a gazzillion different cases come by in my years as a repair technician in the 1990's. I recognise about 50 percent of all those machines he bought, and of some of them even where I saw it.
I still have a compaq armada E500 laptop from 2000. And it still works.

Oh this would have me shaking with excitement too. Awesome haul! Wish that kind of opportunity would show up around here. I was on the edge of my seat through the whole video looking at all this glory. Looking forward to everything being covered. Huge props to the recycling company for keeping it all intact as possible. I love their feedback replies on their eBay account too!

Yeah, I saw that one. I miss my Q500 case (lost it in a house fire about 15 years ago). Mine had gone through probably 4 different motherboards in it's lifetime.

I've only just watched this after watching the 12 videos that came after it. Great video and really enjoyed the videos that followed this one. My favourite channel on TH-cam at the moment. Mike much more relaxed in this one that the others i've seen, but those are all great too!

This guy just bought a miniature PC Reset, what a legend! That's content for over a year. And I'd be especially excited for those keyboards, I'm very much into that. Plus you just saved a whole bunch of machines from being scrapped and giving them new life, that's something all of us would want to do if given the chance.

wow well this proves there are still loads of older machines out there if you know where to find them. once got 48 k6-2 systems from a school, that was a fun loading job lol. good score on the model 30. I have a complete model 30 286 with it's external 5.25 drive. this also proves that vintage collecting is a young man's game these days. such a load would kill me for a week, provided I had the energy to move even 10 of those systems.
Yeah they're definitely still out there, just might take some searching in unusual places. Yeah I got to shamelessly skip a couple of gym sessions thanks to the loading and unloading. Honestly though the terrible U-Haul seat is what wrecked my back. Whoever designed that thing has clearly never seen a human before!

That’s an amazing haul. I believe I saw a post on Reddit of someone contemplating buying this lot and when I saw it I knew it would be a banger deal. Looks like a ton of fun although I wouldn’t have fun moving them around.

Wow, what a haul! Might have been a 7-hour drive but some nice goodies in there. A friend of mine had one like that "newer" presario, I remember good times playing games on it. Pretty sure one of those ATs was my first computer with a pentium!

A few notes.
Sony DME/switcher I have a later version of it that has SDI (Serial Digital Interface), those Component connectors are 12-pin "Betacam" component connectors meant for directly interfacing to an analog Betacam or Betacam SP video recorder there are adapters to turn them into the 3 BNC component pair. "DSK" is Downstream Keyer or titler and Genlock is a sync input that allows the DME to sync with everything else in an edit suite, you feed the Blackburst to the Genlock in on a VTR or camera then everything is in sync.
SGI machines, almost every SGI has some broken plastic, SGI was known for some of the most brittle plastic in the industry where machines had plastic breaking in the 90s, the worst offenders are the O2 deskside/desktop min tower machines, which it seems that if you just look at the plastic wrong it shatters.
Other PCs spotted, Looks like you have an NCR PC and its monitor that's a rare bird right there they were quite expensive when new.
As for the thought of getting your ham ticket, go for it! There are more hams now then there have aver been and more cool digital modes to communicate with then ever.

Came to comment about The Snakes of Narcisse in Manitoba advertisement on the U-Haul. I have never been, but as a Manitoban a few hours away from it, have heard about it many times.
Nice vintage haul you have there! I had a PS/1 given to my from my high school. Wasn’t too familiar with that era of PC’s and ended up recycling it when I could t get it to work. 🤷🏻♂️

Hey MikeTech, I still have Mini CDR's and Mini DVD's.
Cool! I used to have blank CDRs that were decorated to look like vinyl records. I used those and the Cool Color CDRs all the time.
@@miketech1024 Yes I have those too. A fresh pile. There's an old thrift store near where I live where I find these things. I like using them from time to time. I have fun using this old stuff. I still use DVD's too.

wow man Im so happy for you what a score! Ive always been impressed with how quickly you can get computer hardware. Keeps me motivated. It took me a couple years to get 4 systems together at reasonable prices. My last score was my first 486. Came with ram, cpu and a Orchid 1903 VLB video card for 25 bucks! Still trying to find a case for it, the hunt continues!

@@miketech1024 the 486 era of computing is still relatively new to me but I believe it's an Intel 486 dx 33mhz model is sx729. And the video card is an Orchid Fahrenheit 1280 plus. I'm thinking my my first upgrade will likely be the Intel 486 dx2 66 mhz if I can find one cheap enough. I also need to find an AT style case. The guy I bought it from seemed pretty cool. Seems like a lot of the people in this hobby are. We talked for almost an hour about old computers and stuff. Best 25 bucks I've spend in awhile.
