The moderator sat down and crossed his legs and then introduced the guests, and mispronounced their names, he immediately seems cold and shallow from that moment on. Although I believe it is just a large amount of inner insecurity within himself. If he is going to work with actors writers and directors in an industry that requires deep understanding and intimacy he should become more comfortable in his own skin. I think Mr. Hammer wanted to punch him when he introduced “Tim”.

If you watch kisses between timothee and other actresses in his other films and same with Armie in his other films, nothing compares to when these two kiss in this film. If anyones been in love they got it bang on. Maybe they were so worried that they wouldn't appear honest in their passion that they just worked extra hard in these roles and held back in others because hetero love doesn't need to make a special effort to make it as convincing because its seen so regularly in films. Or maybe its not this deep and the director really just has an effortless, talent for replicating real life in forms of art and made the actors look good. Or a bit of everything haha

I watched CMBYN at a film festival a month ago. It's AWESOME! Luca & Co have adapted Andre Aciman's book brilliantly. Armie & Timothee have a natural chemistry which enhances their great & heart felt performances. Stay 4 the end cos Timothee gives a devestating peformance as the credits roll. There is also great humour in the film. My LOL moment would be the over talkative couple at the dinner table. Keep an eye on Elio's parents, particularly Elio's Dad.

@@Sentientmatter8 If it's a comedy for instance, I laugh at the humour without wanting to dissect it. The same goes for the scares in a good horror movie and so on. Such a nice, relaxed interview and presentation by all involved. This film is brilliant in its simplicity and its depth. I didn't just watch a film, I feel like I know these characters. It isn't every year that a film can have an impact like this film is having. I have already seen it 10 times, and I have not tired of the way it makes me feel. It is that feeling of pain and loss and joy, which cannot be experienced individually, but, instead, as one feeling.

I could only wish for one of my written works to be given a life. Especially by such talented actors and director as this. I wrote my last novel (Fear, Jeffrey) in 2015 and due to major health issues at the time, I threw it onto Amazon in a rush without even properly editing it. Now, almost four years later, that story still makes me proud that I had written it, but disappointed that it will never see the light of day due to my negligence.
And I sit here in awe of not only these actors and the director, but for the author, André Aciman as well. How do you feel knowing that one of your works of art is not only just in word format, but it now has a life of its own and both together will live on forever?! And for these actors, Tim Chalamet and Armie Hammer.... This was a masterpiece. And their portrayal of this novel and these characters will live on forever as well.
Ever since I started writing in my early 30's, I began viewing movies in a very different light. While everybody else was watching the characters, listening to the dialog and reacting to the scenes. I was watching the actor's facial expressions, their placements, and how they delivered their lines. It was always a dream of mine to get to work on a set or at least sit on the side lines of a movie set and just watch everything unfold.
These guys are not just actors! They are story tellers. They are creators. They are given an opportunity to play someone other than themselves. And they are given a story to act out that is not their own. And they are leaving behind a footprint that will remain burned in that moment of time forever.
I would've loved to have seen my characters done in such a manner. I would've loved and admired the perfect actors portraying something that came out of my thoughts and into words. That must be such an adrenaline rush to know your name will forever be affiliated with that work of art.

Back in 2015, and during the years I was writing it, I was thinking, with longer hair, Logan Lerman, Tom Holland or Fionn Whitehead. I had a few others I can't think of at the moment, but those fit the main character of my book perfectly.

Armie has flawless diction, which makes him a natural for recording an audio book. It's interesting that the book is written from Elio's perspective, whereas Armie plays Oliver. It should be interesting to hear "Oliver" become "Elio."
