No offence, but I did not buy a big screen HDTV and pay for cable TV so that I can leave my house and go to a theater to watch the National Geographic channel
the theatre is a shared experience that is sometimes worth the money and time.
***** i can see where you're coming from saying that. i think it's stupid now too. other reasons why the theatre is better than @ home : you feel like you did something other than sit at home that night(which is stupid). movie theatre food. the theatre is near a place you want to go afterwards. you might meet someone new/you know there. you like one of the theatre employees. it's the only way you can see the thing you want to see(other than torrenting a lq version). bragging about it later(stupid). you help pay for the theatre to keep running.

I watched this back in 2014 in 3D at the Science Museum, London. Such a great short film!

Joshua do you realize what you're doing? Kick that brain of yours into 'on' position so I don't have to come to your rescue again. TH-cam + ISP = paid time to watch this video. Basic right? The part you don't get though is that you're watching a trailer at an expense and haven't even seen the main feature. Furthermore, what is the difference if you watch a video from Lockheed or Universal Studios? They are both in the business to make money, no? And finally being ripped off is all a matter of opinion and in my opinion if you dropped any amount of money in any theatre in recent years you're most likely being ripped off. Transformers, G.I. Joe, Adam Sandler and the list goes on. And they will have in the end ripped off more people than Lockheed no doubt. I'm surprised that with people dropping so much money on such mindless titles such as The Dictator or any of the Hangover movies that anyone would venture the capital to make educational projects. It is clear mind slowing cinema brings in more dough. So Joshua, speaking on the behalf of top heavier motion picture enthusiasts - SHUT IT! Please and thank-you! Much obliged!
