i dont think u will be able to buff that wall ever again . unless you get it pressure washed
Mike Koss the video I saw all they had to do was spray water on it and the spray paint washes right off. Pretty neat

yesssss bro ive been wondering about this! not realy worried about anti graffiti as much as UV, that sun is the ultimate thief! here in florida, nothing beats the sun. Ive watched murals turn grey in a year

Try a product called "Wasser". It's made in Germany, and once you paint it over a mural, you can wash graffiti off with MEK. (MEK is "methyl-ethyl-ketone", and it is a tough solvent!) But it will not hurt the anti-graffiti coating called "Wasser".

We recently completed a large mural project in North Phoenix. Vista Verde Middle School students painted it as a class project. Based on your recommendation we order Sherwin Williams brand, though we were moving toward another.
I will circle back a year from now and let you know how it held up.
I used this coating on a mural last fall. I applied 2 coats because I was going to be locked out of the site during the rest of the construction project (spring now and gates are still up) and I had never used it before. Anyway I snuck back in on an overcast day to photograph and I tried to mark it with a regular black marker. Could not get it to mark, just slipped on the surface.
Couple of years ago I had a contract to do chalk art for a commercial client (alcohol) infront of beach bars. One town, maybe Manhattan or Huntington had something similar on the sidewalks
Hey man - how do you use fluid acrylics on stucco or rough walls? Or do you recommend spraying or rolling flat areas on rough walls first?

Hi! I was wondering if you have painted a mural on wood like a fence, and if so would this product work? I’ve just got started in doing murals. I normally do windows and walls, But I have a customer that is adamant about a mural on a wooden fence. I’ve not got much to test products out, and I’m sure a clear wood sealer may work. I’m just kinda stumped on what to use.
I've done an airbrushed mural on an interior wall with water based paints "in some areas used black/white emulsion" would this product be OK to put over it?
I painted a mural on a wall in Silver Strand Beach in Oxnard, Ca. When i sealed mine it turned white! Made the entire mural cloudy. I was devastated! It has been almost a year since i sealed it and it has finally dried and the image is clear and bright again. I used a different product. Because the mural is at the beach, there is a ton of moisture in the air. The manufacture said this is why it clouded. So beware of where of the elements where you are using anti graffiti sealer.
How has this coating held up over time? Has it clouded or delaminated

the main concern is ''chemical reactions' between the paint & coating, i use spray paint enamels, whats the best to use to protect the vibrancy of the colors? an anti graffiti coat or a water based varnish? an anit graffiti coating is usually chemical based & could react with art work, should i use a varnish? varnishes seem to all be water based & safer to use in regards to reactions with the art work?

Now my take on this is put a wax coat on a pu-coat. Not the car wax. Plain beeswax. It is cheap and does the trick perfectly

Weird question.. I'm an architect and often try to integrate murals into the designs of buildings. But I can't always specify brick to be the base for the mural. Do you have experience working on other surfaces? For example, a lot of the times we would specify fiber cement panels, siding, or stucco due to cost. Is there any particular surface you would recommend if we are unable to provide brick?
I'm a muralist and I have painted on all kinds of surfaces - brick, concrete, stucco, metal, wood, composite panels. Only material I would avoid painting is plastic. :)

I highly recommend using golden for coating your murals in the future. I personally don't like this particular product and the price.

I might be able to get you a full color case of their colors. Not the fan decks , but a case with each color in a small ring binder.
