The song is always so sad, it also really makes me feel as sad. Like think about it, five perfectly good children that didn't do anything, were murdered for no reason, and then when they just want to go to there afterlife, they are forced to preform son a stage for years. Dosent that make you sad?

I love the game it's genre is horror, it is pretty terrifying, but I find it more sad rather than scary; this is probably my favorite song out of all of them, first time I heard it made me tear up. 'Balloons' are used as a metaphor for the souls that possessed the animatronics and how the animatronics were treated badly, it's basically reflecting all 3 games and the story that follows. As in, they were left for over 30 years, disabled and replaced, and then the toy animatronics disabled and used for the horror attraction. So it's really like a flash back of the first and second game and all the pain. Especially the original Fazbear gang (includes Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy) if you listen to it a few times it gives clues referring to the first game and the the incidents that had happened. "Pain makes you do things you never thought you could do…." That line refers to the animatronics and their painful state at the moment (hence the first game) and how they don't mean to intentionally hurt you, and how the souls are distressed there's for letting out their pain onto the player. "…Is this all real or just dejavu?" This meaning (all three games) that it's happened more than once and the animatronics are just re experiencing their dark past. "But now the party's over. Now the guests are gone. It's already past our bedtime, it's already almost dawn" Refers to the first game and how the player has to survive from 12 to 6 and how no one comes anymore after the several incidents that occurred. 'It's already past our bedtime' is referring to the animatronics, because they are kids, and they were kidnapped, it's mostly likely that they had curfew and that's what the animatronics follow as a result 'it's already almost dawn' refers to when 6 am hits, in the game. "Just like balloons we soar on our own, Finally free from the pain of our home and just like balloons that no one will hold, free from the truth that no one will know" meaning the 3rd gem the souls are kinda let go and sorta free from the pain and that no one will know the truth about the children. "Just little children, not at all strange. Until the lights went out, then everything changed" Once again referring to death of the children. "Alone and afraid for,oh, so long, wondering what did we do wrong" Because the children were murdered without a purpose, I'm guessing they don't exactly know what they did to deserve to die. While the other half is referring to (maybe) the imposter regretting that he killed the children and he thinks he's like some pyscho that kills for no reason.
