Two additional TBS games from that era is Master of Orion 2, Kind of civilization in space with much greater customization then Alpha Centaurus. It's mechanics are better then many current space strategies. The other game is Imperialism, a kind of proto-victoria that includes much of Victoria's economic model and interesting tactical battle mechanics Heroes-3 style. It's AI also knows how to navigate it's economy model. MOO-2 requires DOSbox while Imperialism would probably require Windows-95/98 VM to run (Imperialism-2 can install and run on Windows-10 but it's economy model is less complex)
I'd recommend Missionforce: Cyberstorm (1996). Such a great game, but often overlooked for some reason. If you loved Battletech, you'll love Missionforce: Cyberstorm.
@@multosakalyegaming this 2 game is best for me as new games. Games were good at 2000's and early 2010's too. After witcher 3 i do not enjoy games and it wad 8 years ago. After 2015 they made few good games
I love advance wars, still play it today from time to time. Same goes for MoO2, it's unbelievable that no game has even come close to recreating the original experience of that game. I really hope the wargaming remake is not going to be the last we see of the series.
As a lover of Civ 4, I finally found a better version of Civ. Civ 5 with the Vox Populi mod. No stacks of doom. Much more interesting combat. Proper ai. Deity is an enjoyable challenge.
I first came to know this genre because of Kings Bounty for the Sega Genesis. Naturally I jumped into Steam's King's Bounty series later. Such an interesting genre. Can't wait for Songs of Conquest to fully release!
Yep. Three different Heroes games in top 15 tbs ever. And Heroes 3 is the best tbs game ever created by men. Exactly what I consider true.

Warlords III is still number 1 for me - still play it almost once a week.

you guys have to try "Expedition Rome", if you want cool ending go for the Emperor, i just finished it on Insane difficulty and i really enjoy it
I have that one wishlisted and definitely getting it when it goes on sale. I hear nothing but good things about it.

None of the Warlords parts, but the primitive Battle Of Westnoth included - poor choices.
omg lord's of the realm 2 wooooooow totally forgot about that game. That was so much fun.
