What happened to LaWanda Page? She played in a handful of episodes or so of the final season. Secondly, I don't recall ever seeing James Avery on the Jeffersons, but I could be wrong...I just don't recall it.

I was watching the intro to Amen continuously the day that “Deacon Frye” died even though I never knew Sherman Hemsley had died in reality… I heard he died on the news 2 days later. I still believe I heard his voice while he died and nothing will convince me otherwise. Maybe we are distant relatives. I definitely have a low tolerance for bullshit.

Jester Hairston actually appeared on a show that Clifton Davis starred in back in 1974 called "That's My Mama" which aired on ABC.

The actors of Amen were geniuses of physical comedy. Right up there with I Love Lucy and Laverne and Shirley.
