I get what your saying that they want gaethje to win because khabib is undefeated, I personally agree with you on that, but what is he problem with them being fans of Conor. He is without a doubt one of the biggest fights of Khabib's career where he exposed himself to a massive audience due to the hype and their bitter rivalry. It makes sense its a part of the conversation due to it being in the conversation as a rematch may have been possible if Khabib hadn't retired and Conor had come back and won some fights.

ill be honest I was routing for Gaethje to win, i definitely thought that he had the skillset to beat Khabib after gaethje fantastic performance against Ferguson who went undefeated for 12 years, i thought that he could be the man to defeat khabib, khabibs transitions from boxing to wrestling is unparamounted & when he started throwing flying knees & teep kicks, whatever McGregor can do , khabib can do it better , i knew from that moment onwards it wasn't going to be Justins night I feel upset that he's going because I never fully appreciated his immense fighting technique & that his last fight is the best we have ever seen from him in an octagon he looks like he has so much more to give, but I respect his decision to retire their bigger things in life than competing , khabib is the greatest lightweight champion to ever walk the planet

I don't think these guys fully grasp how dominant Khabib really is, or they blatantly choose to ignore it. In a ultra violent sport, the man went 13-0 (UFC), has never been beaten, battered, had a black eye, bloody nose, cut lip, or scratch of any type from any of his opponents. I don't think there is anyone in the history of combat sports who can make that claim, and yet these salty guys choose to make excuses for the other fighters instead of highlighting the fact that Khabib really is that dominant. These guys epitomize the true definition of haters.
