Audiobooks I listened to and loved so far this year are Survival of the Thickest by Michelle Buteau, Crook Manifesto by Colson Whitehead, and I Shouldn’t Be Telling You This by Chelsea Devantez. Loved the audiobook performance and experience for those books. I read along while listening for Crook Manifesto-it was my escape in November.
Girl, it takes me forever to watch your videos because as you speak, I am going to my free audiobook and downloading the books () it’s only for blind people) lol… Thank you for some new recs
“The Monsters We Defy” Audiobook was sooooo good! That voice actress was so good, I had to look her up! She made the story interesting! This was the 2nd audiobook I purchased. The first was Willow Smith’s book, it was so boring that I thought all audiobooks were like that. Glad I gave it a second try!😂😂😂❤️
I read a book you recommended, The House of Eve, which I really enjoyed. It was very real, yet not overly tragic, because, you know, the feels! I also bought a book you reccomened; Mother, Daughter, Warrior, which is on my TBR. OH! And I read Lone Women which is OH SO VERY GOOD! And Decent People. There are probably more! LOL
You def gotta speed up an audio book. I am about 1.5-1.75. Read Dead Cat Tails only. Pretty good. I am surprised there was so much controversy about Blood at the Root but never read. I would like to go back in history to go to an HBCU.
Reel by Kennedy Ryan is such a great audiobook experience!! 👌🏾😘🤌🏾 In fact, it’s won a notable award, so there’s that. The story is great and the production didn’t miss… enjoy! 🤗
