Super smash Bros ultimate came out in 2018. Sonic didn’t get his first movie until 2020, and shadow didn’t even have a design until 2022. And even then they re-colored the super sonic model for that credit scene. He didn’t have an official model until 2024. It wouldn’t make sense that movie sonic and shadow would be available in the game before movie one even came out unless this is a new update that they released unannounced. But why would they release that update unannounced? The sonic movies have grossed over 1 billion at the box office in total. Assuming that Sakari decided to return to make Movie sonic and shadow, and that this is real, why wouldn’t Nintendo promote it? if I were Nintendo, I’d promote that shit out of that. and on top of that, they haven’t added another smash character since 2021! Assuming that Nintendo went through the trouble of going to see in Paramount and getting the license to put movie sonic and shadow into the game, somehow managed to get Masahiro Sakurai back on board to add another two characters to the roster, just to not promote it at all, why would they put the secret fighter pass in the spirit unlock menu? And even after you unlock the “secret fighter pass” It doesn’t even work like a fighter pass. You still have to get the challenger battle one for each character. You have to fight three different opponents just to unlock everything there is to unlock in the secret fighter pass. And that is so obviously a sonic mod. You didn’t even try for the fighter entrances It’s just sonic’s! For both of them!
