This is exactly what I was looking for out of it. Doesn’t mean much to just make it more powerful just to run the same apps. The truth is they were already powerful enough to run Logic Pro x and final cut and everything else, apple just hadn’t optimized the apps for it. If this doesn’t have it then their is almost no reason to upgrade my 2018, which is already extremely fast and powerful

@@am.Shub2770 It's true, I had it for a few days and used Clipstudio Paint for art, which is a desktop app and it got really heated and the battery ran down fast. The M1 chip is extremely useful for this problem. I just refunded it to apple and I'm replacing it for the new one for the exact same price.
Did you watch the Apple special event presentation? All your questions answered there. You yourself can pretty much figure out where this is headed given this new hardware and its specs. Fair to say FCPX Xcode and Logic Pro are all headed to this iPad. Wait to WWDC in June.

Brilliant for the ipad, maybe not so good decision though, blurring the line to much between the imac and ipad pro 12.9, with the ipad having some features the imac doesn’t. It’s feels good knowing how fast my iPhone 12 mini and iPad Air 4 are I love how long a apple pruducts life span is so long. Every big iOS update feels like a new phone.
Heres the thing.. Im not trying to dissuade anyone from upgrading to this Ipad pro. But I have an Ipad Pro 2018 that is STILL overkill in 2021 for a tablet. It has so much power behind it, and will probably be my tablet for another year or two. However, Im not sure if apple has purposely been sabotaging previous Ipad Pro models because my Ipad has been failing at several simple things since the “scribble” update. My apple pencil is definitely a shell of its former self because it feels so unresponsive. So no... I will not be buying another Ipad Pro for a very long while because the one I already have is MORE than capable to do absolutely anything: Art, Film Editing, Computing, Desktop Experience, etc. If you want to upgrade go ahead, but I just think you should stay with the iPad Pro you already have. 100% go for it if your a new consumer, this is just my perspective as a longtime consumer. Probably going to try out Galaxy Tab S8 to see whats up there bc S7 looked fire!
Very good valid points however I have the same iPad Pro as you and Apple will give me $535 credit so why not upgrade as I do every three years I could probably sell it for a little bit more but getting this new iPad Pro fully maxed out for less than 600 sounds like a sweet deal to me, I paid a little over 1100 for my current iPad Pro.

Very good valid points however I have the same iPad Pro as you and Apple will give me $535 credit so why not upgrade as I do every three years I could probably sell it for a little bit more but getting this new iPad Pro fully maxed out for less than 600 sounds like a sweet deal to me, I paid a little over 1100 for my current iPad Pro.

@@JonJon-vg2nv I mean it really blurs the lines between OLED and LCD. has basically the same contrast ratio and better brightness. maybe the blacks won’t be AS black, but probably barely noticeable
Still not buying a new ipad! I have a first gen and it is working still very good. I am saying this for over 5 years now, MAKE IT WATER PROOF! Give it better cameras than on iphone and give it oled display and i will buy a new one... until then, NO WAY HOSE!
