For all of you complaining and saying "Why the fuck did he make music that sounds like 70's?", read the description. Too lazy to do that? Here's what it says: What if you could be a hero? This is what Savant wants you to be when you listen to Protos, his 10th album and a return to his childhood dream of living in a world where heroes did anything and everything to save the day. This ambitious electro-pop space opera contains 18 tracks inspired by saturday morning cartoons and his favorite music all written and vocalized by Savant himself.
I think we can agree that everyone is going to listen to it for free before they buy it anyway. Nobody is going to buy something without knowing what they're getting.
rforrestg Not really. For many music enthusiasts, buying a CD, taking it home and listening to it for the first time is one of the many joys of life. If it's not as good as you wished for, bummer, but you still did something good by supporting an artist with previous work which you admire.
rforrestg That's where you're wrong! Before the internet, billions of albums were sold without people given the opportunity to listen to it before purchasing it! I've bought all of his albums just because he deserves it for the magic that he produces!!! I didn't listen to this album until today AFTER I bought it on itunes! It's the rush and excitement that makes spending money on something that you already love!!! =]
One word, VOID. Though this album is amazing, I can't really say which is my favorite. Orakel was always #1 for me, but they're all so good. Loved Protos, but Void is so amazing!
Alexander, I hope you come back with the same groove, feeling, power. We need you in a new sound, a new school. Most likely you will never read this, but it is more of a cry from the heart. This time needs you. Without even putting in effort, you are the breath of this time. As underestimated as your efforts may seem, there is no doubt that you are the genius of our era. Come back and make this EDM shit part of real culture. Without you, it is a melting plastic without a soul, copying itself only to become a substitute. Without you, it’s all boring and common sense just keeps saying go out the window, dude. You are what gave meaning and life to electronic sounds. Please don't bury yourself.
My god I love this album. If your mission was to remind people of the old school Saturday cartoon themes then MISSION ACCOMPLISHED SIR! I don't understand why so many people are hating on this album for the transition this entire album was filled to the brim with amazing riffs and beautiful lyrics. I understand that people have opinions, but all these people hating on this album are focusing on what you used to make rather than what this album was meant to symbolize. Thanks for this Savant it really brought aged soul back to my kid years!
Doober Dobber I get so many meanings just from the concept of this album! Mainly that peoples cravings for drops and bass from EDM is stupid and is stopping EDM from adapting. Also, people should cherish their childhood more, I'm still sort of a child but even I realise I forget the lessons of my childhood! The most inspiring meaning though is that we shouldn't be who people expect us to be or do what the people want, we should live our lives as much for ourselves as everyone else, and for that savant I respect you! For the haters, yes in a lot of circumstances, older savant stuff is great to listen to but hen you need cheering up or inspiring this is awesome!
I agree with you 100% westonfun5. This isn't hardcore EDM, but this is one of the best damn albums I've ever heard. No, not one of the best, I think it is the best.
Lol right?! Venom too! Oh, and the beginning lyrics of Man of The Law gives me chills every time I hear them, just throwin' that out there. But yeah, such deep lyrics. They're simple, and yet they have so much meaning.
Every time I come back for a listen, I grow more attached to this album, it’s become a part of my being. 100 out of 10. He took us to a place no one’s gone before. Find your spacehearts and tell someone you love them today.
I consistently return to Savant. No one else can do it like him. His style is so varied, no matter what I'm looking for Savant has a master class example of it somewhere in his discography. I was looking for something uptempo but not insane to program to, and this just hits that mark perfectly. I've been listening to this guy for a over decade now and I'm not sure I'll ever find someone better. Truly the Mozart of our times
Am I the only one staring at the cover picture and imagining stories that have this album as soundrack? Like I am really making up whole universes here.. :D
Favourite album so far. Reminds me of like old school tv show openings. Although I can't recall any ironically, it reminds me of like superhero-esque stuff like kamen rider or power rangers. Maybe it's just me but this album totally sounds like it was pulled from the past and I'm glad I was able to see something like that in such a modern time.
Like no shit. When I first heard savant a couple years back I was very impressed but it wasn't something that stuck, as an avid electronic music fan the talent Alex has clearly showed in his music, however it felt quite generic to me. But honestly, this album is something else, both literally and metaphorically. It feels like Savants first actual album where his other records just seemed like a compilation of songs. There's a recurring theme, the emphasis on his vocals (always a pleasant surprise among electronic artists) makes the record more personal, the structures of the songs seem more coherent, and the live instrumentation is refreshing. I could go on but yeah, in my opinion this is Alex's best record by far.
musically speaking, this album is the best, I agreee. As for his electronic experimentation, I think he achieved great things with Orakel, creating sounds and blending genres and inspirations like no one else
The Japanese verse on Laser Sharks fucking blew my mind. Way more pop than other albums, but this one reaches the masterpiece status. So far - I'm still in 'Cry for Love'.
For all the people saying that this is not savant anymore, first off all savant is his own music genre. second savant is a person that likes to combine and experiment with music to make music that never have been made before! Here we talk about a man that have created over 10,000 songs from Classical to Black Metal, Dubstep and everything in between!!! Savant evolves and tries new stuff everyday! i personaly like this album, but that dossent mean i dont like alchemist, ism, orakel etc. hope this clears things up?
I've been listening to savant and ONLY savant for over two months straight and I can't get enough of his music! There's so many songs and all so very great and unique
It's so funny how people complain and talk shit when an artist changes their style or produces a different type of music. Like srsly? Do you think they give a single shit? Do you think anyone does? It's music. This is how it works.
Can't get enough! A super cool thing you should do Savant, is to make a tour with you performing your tracks, like singing or even playing instruments if you like, that would be awesome!
idk if you're reading this because you surely get loads of comments. i'm a big fan of your work, but this whole album in particular is so special to me. it's been three years and it still gives me chills whenever i listen to it (and i listen to it quite often). every single song is so fucking good and that musical style so unique. also you should sing more cause you've got the voice! seriously, i wish you'd do another album like this one, i'm so hooked since 2014. keep up the good work!
After almost 8 years, Krang manged to move Protos from 1st place in my ranking of favourite album of yours but i'm still not sure about that, this one is such a bop and tracks like Rise Up and Venom have been trusted companions trough so much things in my life. I'm looking forward to make new memories with your new music after all this time listening to your art. Damn you're good at this Mr. Vinter.
The storytelling of the songs in this album is just so damn good. Slasher also had its moments, but this whole album just takes you on an adventure track after track and I love it
9 years? I can't believe thisalbum is almost a decade old. God damn, this album helped me go trough so much shit during the year it came out and like the next two years after that. Thank you Aleksander, for real, I probably wouldn't even be alive without your music. Thanks man, I wish there could be a way to repay you for everything you've indirectly helped me with your music.
This is pure proof that this man is a genius. You can't go through this album and not love it's uniqueness despite it's old school feel. It's a voyage, an adventure as he brings us through it. It's not just some pure EDM album (which I love) but it's so much more. He's taking you on a journey; through his mind and your own. People saying "I miss the Alchemist Savant =(" I think are missing the point on this whole thing. This is an artists progression and showing his range of skills. Great album, great ideas and certainly fun as shit. Not perfect but by god if it doesn't get you damn excited about EVERY SINGLE RELEASE this man has to offer than man, I don't know why you're here in the first place.
People can have their opinions on blast here, so here comes mine, like or dislike, i think this is Savants best album, but i havent been a big fan of his previous work (too much to go into) however i felt this album hit the nail on the head in almost every way. This entire project SCREAMS passion, the goals, the theme, everything about it is solid and beautiful, you really had an idea with this and you went through it, you inspired me to go at an old project i lost hope with due to life troubles and i'm bringing it back up seeing you accomplish what you have. I know he wont ever make another album like this, maybe something similar, but this is basically a non fan of yours saying, fantastic album, glad you made it and i'm happy i purchased it, good luck in your future adventures Mr Vinter.
I'm usualy not buying music, but this time I will, just because this man live for music and doesn't care about how much money it can value. Love you Vinter! (Sorry if my english is bad, french guy here)
Well, this album doesn't have what I like most about Savant, but I've found that I enjoy it just as much as the other albums. What I like most about Savant is how so many samples and synths come together toward a melody and harmony that makes sense to me. It's both just as familiar to what I like and different enough to keep me craving. I like the mini-fugues layered with the bass wobbles and touches of 8-bit sound. I feel like when I listen to one of his songs for the first time -- I really like what he's doing -- and then he just tweaks it further and further in more pleasurable ways and I have no choice but to like what I hear, and then I listen to the same songs/albums a hundred or more times. Another artist I like just as much is Squarepusher. Listening to these artists makes me wish I had chose to have the discipline and enthusiasm to keep going with my dreams of making music, I didn't know how to handle my emotions to be patient enough to achieve my own methods for creating the sounds I wanted (but life's full of other areas where one can put their effort to produce high quality goods and art). So I try to use these guys as an example to push myself to create things that have a meaning and purpose for the people I make it for. This album has a more laid-back kind of feel, with a story that I'm probably unaware of (I like to put my own day dreams to the music I listen to). But what pleases me the most, is that I didn't expect this; I started with the album ISM (Was there like some Irish dance music in that album, or what? And Starfish is just so freakin'... cool!) and heard most of his other albums before getting Protos, and I was like, wtf, am I listening to some other artist I picked on accident? Sure enough, looking at the title of the music on my phone, "Savant - Protos". Well, okay, it's all good still. I hope Vinter never gets tired of making music for us. As long as he keeps making music in his own way, he will be a success. Autism or whatever, it's all very human to me -- good stuff!
kankeriseenziekte I like his latest album, Damogen Furies, a lot. Stor Eiglass was cool, and I also liked Exjag Nives, and its worth to mention Rayc Fire 2 because I think he layers the drum and bass so well they're like a synonymous unit. You can hardly tell them a part. Try his highly acclaimed stuff like the album Big Loada, but I personally like his album Hello Everything. My favorite song on that album is Plotinus. Look around, hes got lots of stuff, and he tries all kinds of things, sometimes not my cup of tea. He is more of a bass player than a DJ and he has a solo bass album too, never listened to it, but you can find some videos where he does. If u want more Savant like stuff try Infected Mushroom, the album Now Is Gold is one I really like. Have a good day.
kankeriseenziekte Yeah, that's it. It you want to get a good idea of Squarepusher, first listen to some songs on Big Loada. Then listen to the song Plotinus, then afterwards listen to the song Papalon; these two songs give you an idea of both his Classical and Jazz influences. And then try the album Just a Souvineer, then do Damogen Furies. That will give you a good idea whether or not he's your taste. Hope you enjoy!!
Nostalgic when I first listened to it, now way later it's 20x as nostalgic. I can't pick a favorite album but this one has been the soundtrack to my junior year. You're an inspiration and a half!
Is there a reason this album is the theme songs for a whole bunch of 80s TV series I wish had actually existed when I was growing up? Because Laser Sharks would have been WAY better than Ninja Turtles (and that's saying a lot)!
I think Aleks was having a nostalgia spree for a little while, andd this beautiful little gem poppedd out of his brain. Hell, the whole album needs to be turned into a show!
Aleksander, I have a feeling you're going to keep revealing more diversity to us. That's very exciting. This is superb work, man. Great composition, great harmonic structures, melodies, counter melodies. Not to mention the bulletproof badass production work. Hats off to you, man.
I've have spent years looking for someone with that mix of sound that fulfills my craving for a variety of genre and concepts, but has cohesive elements to their music. +Aleksander Vinter you have filled the void. One crazy work night at 3am as a college senior and BAM, life changed a year later.
I mean, I know this comment is a year old now, but I'm pretty sure that a Disney musical is right out the window for this album, Disney wouldn't allow the entire album to be made into a musical, if you think you know why then click read more, if you don't, then either click read more or re-watch the entire album the song "Spaceship" has the word motherfucker in it
I love how this vid is not just a picture with music in the background. It has the highlighted song and changes when the music does so you always know what your listening to. Also the sound wave that's below the song names is just amazing.
I love this album. I mean love it! But one thing I hate, is that everyone says they love sword of destiny. It is a great song, and it is the best representation of Alchemist and his earlier albums. But that means his fans are not growing up and evolving to like his other songs and make them their favorites instead. I mean, I almost feel like since its so close to his old songs, I feel like the fans aren't actually listening to ALL the songs, and only the old ones they know they would like for sure. My favorite from this album is by far Venom, the music, lyrics and melody is so enticing! I love it. So if you like Sword of Destiny, go ahead, just make sure you listen to all of the Album before picking a favorite! EDIT: Figured I'd add these lines of text because no one seems to understand what I'm trying to say. ---- "I said IDC if people like EDM, I just hope that people didn't hear S of D in the teaser, click this video and skip right to it. Because there is so MUCH MORE AMAZING STUFF, on this album that they should hear. I'm not saying everyone did that, I just hope that everyone who is making comments saying " S of D is my fave" actually listened to the whole album. They might be surprised to find that they like a certain song more than S of D. That's IT! It doesn't have to be complicated, I'm not judging people's tastes! I am praising Savant's album for being amazing even with his lack of multiple EDM songs! Does everyone understand now?"
Liking one song from a certain album is in no way a proper means to survey the overall ''listening abilities'' from Savants fans. If someone likes that song, so be it, don't be so quick to judge other people. It all comes off pretty cocky if you ask me.
Recanon You are missing the point. It seems that everyone likes Sword of Destiny cause all they want is EDM. But I'm afraid they heard Sword of Destiny in the trailer, waited till the album release, and skipped right to that part of the album. There is so much more this album has to offer! Even if EDM is their favorite genre, which its mine too, I still love the other songs as much or more than Sword Of Destiny. So if you think I'm cocky cause of what I have to say, so be it.
Imal00ter20 Not my classification, Everyone else's. And its true too. Is that Not Electronic Dance Music? I hear it, its music, its electronic, and I wanna dance. EDM. Get it?
WTF? I wouldn't call it EDM, there are soo many rock artists out there who uses electronic instruments, just like in Sword of Destiny, it's still not EDM. I mean I get the nostalgic feel of Lego Racers when hearing Sword of Destiny.
Venom is the song that completely converted me over on this album. That song hits me on what I can only explain as a spiritual level. My work doesn't allow me to partake in any real drugs, but just listening to that song, hearing the pain, addiction and catharsis so beautifully intertwined alleviates my darkest days. I get lost in the narrative of the song; taking a near vicarious role in feeling helpless, dazed and relaxed. I love that he makes no distinction to what the drug actually is. It's not narcotics or love or release. It just is, the drug is all of those things that help us escape. In that regard, "Venom" is figuratively my drug.
Hm, not exactly the type of music I'd normally listen to, but I could definitely jam to this from time to time. Mad respect to Savant for pushing boundaries and doing the last thing that people expected but still being able to make it sound good and have fun at the same time. I don't understand why people are saying "This isn't Savant". Savant made it and decided that he enjoyed it enough to sell it, so therefore, this is most definitely Savant. Just because this album doesn't contain those hard-hitting dubstep and electro tracks that we love from Savant, doesn't mean that this isn't his style. Perhaps this is what he really wants to make, instead of dubstep and other similar genres. A few other big artists have been changing up their music quite a bit recently. Deadmau5 and Tiesto are other good examples of artists that decided to do something different with their latest albums. If you don't enjoy this album from Savant, then that's perfectly fine. Everyone has their own opinions and styles of music that they enjoy to listen to. However, please don't put down an artist for doing something different. If you don't enjoy this new album, then just respect Savant for changin' it up and move on to the music that you do enjoy to listen to.
Aleksander....... I'm just grateful to have the opportunity to listen to the whole album before buying it but if I wasn't able, I wouldn't hesitate, you're simply the best!
i remember the first time i ever heard this album back in 2014 i absolutely hated it compared to his other stuff and I especially hated laser sharks. i considered this the only album in the entire savant discography that was simply not good, then something happened and i finally gave it another crack last month and now not only do i love it, i particularly love laser sharks. wtf savant why are you so goddamn talented.
We all evolve, what you might not get at some point in your life, you gain in knowledge, in maturity, and through your musical journey and life, and one day you come back to something you never clicked with, and suddenly it resonates with your soul. That's one of the true beauty of music and art in general. Its meaning change through the infinite shapes of the human prisms
I have a lot of respect for Savant. He comes out with tons of music very frequently and it's consistently very good and he continues to bring unique twists to every album.
Yup. I would've added a couple more zizillion, or maybe even given him a Qhasiv rating, but it's just.... I'm still wondering when his spaceship's blasting off, and I don't know where or how to get there either :/ I'm whining now, but I really really wanna party in his spaceship! :'(
Well, Qhasiv is actually a word I stole from the future. It's hard for us to really comprehend it's meaning, but it's basically just a number that's just shy of infinity, a Qhasiv ;)
Now, i understand why people dont like this album. The reason most of the Savant fans came to him for more, or to his liking is because of EDM type music, not "singing". Personally, i love this album, its definalty in my top 3 albums from him. I am simply shining light on why people are possibly hating this. Please dont take this comment as hate, because it is not. I love this album to bits.
I understand your lyrics man! errr at least the parts that I can understand lol. You speak such truth and honesty, I love it! I think your words in Venom are my favorite though, specifically "when the Mind is Awakened from comatose, Destiny is overtaken by choice" :) That verse has left me pondering something though... In the earlier song, Spaceheart, you say "The Universe controls the Destiny for Us all." So you believe that once we're truly awakened, we create our own destiny? If so, then what's left for The Universe to do? Also... how do you know so much about our future as a species? Lol I know... you alien, you! ^_^ Love you man! Oh, and Spaceship is now my new favorite song... for now :D Oh and one last thing! Cult Collab is fucking incredible too! Not sure if I thanked you for that song yet... thanks! It definitely gets my blood pumpin :)
god damn this is amazing! i love the direction you have taken this album! it really reminds me of some old school Blue Oyster Cult stuff especially your Rider in Red! love it!
Savant is an artist. Artists make art. He've making a kind of art before. He's making a kind of art now, and we don't know what kind on art he will be doing tomorrow. He made fans with dubstep and electro music, and he will make some new fans with this pop music. I'm basically saying: STOP SAYING TO AN ARTIST WHAT TO DO! IF YOU LIKE SAVANT'S OLD MUSIC, GO LISTENING THEM! LET THE MUSIC GOING TO THE PEOPLE THAT LIKES IT. Thanks :) MEXICO HAVE FANS FOR YOU SAVANT!!
I don't tend to listen to any specific artist/genre I'm just on a constant search for good music and this Album has some great, groovy vibes! Thanks a lot, and keep it up! Don't know why people can't just pick and mix tunes that they like and leave it at that instead of saying "oh but x is better than y!".
Savant please tell me you're making another album like this. By the way Man Of the Law and Laser Sharks are my favorite songs but the whole album is amazing.
at first those were my two favorite songs, but after 2 years I can say the emotional content throughout all the album is really strong and musically complex
Oh My God!!!! When I listen to this, it definitely sounds like watching one of those Saturday morning cartoons or anime futuristic action films about a powerful hero defending the universe. Great work Savant, big fan of your music. It's so Awesome of Awesomness!!!!! 😎😎😎
The fact that you sang everything on the album is what gets me. You have done many songs, but doing this undertaking is ungodly. You are a genius that I feel that your fans will always respect and look up to. Thanks man for making my days so much easier to deal with. Keep on changing the face of music man.
Love the usage of Snes sounds a lot on this album, Sword of Destiny is like so nice :) reminds of Lufia or FF, Quest was so made from Link to the past, heh.. I do like Prototype and Quest, Sword of Destiny. Truth is I was expecting more dubsteb/chipstep, but it's ok, my first review was after listening this once.
How did I discovered it this late?! I wouldn't have stumbled upon this album if I didn't watch Cry's the Walking Dead walkthrough series. Savant, you're amazing!
Can someone tell me some simular songs to rider in red and super sheriff i really like them and i'm glad that sarvant did this back to his roots thing.
Thanks a lot HyperKube :D I'm pretty fresh to Aleksanders music as wiki says he made around 10k tracks so it's hard to find what you are looking for :P Btw. I'm not a dubstep fan pretty much a dubstep haters but Savant's wubwubs are hitting right in my music taste :D
looks like someone's got the savant-hype. and yes, thats where his name comes from, but he has a milder form of savant called asperges, so that he also looks and talks like a normal human
I don't think that people understand that Savant is so talented that he made a WHOLE FUCKING ALBUM with the same theme, making the full meaning of "theme" happen in this album. To make a whole album with the same theme requires so much dedication and talent. People need to realize that this isn't "Not Savant" or "Savants bad album"...this is genius. I cannot give more respect to Savant because this album made me give all my respect to him. CHEERS!

This album is awesome and unique as fuck. I dont know why they hate on him so much.
Angel Leyva Exactly.
Aleksander, you're awesome. It's really unusual for an artist to let people listen to a whole album for free. That's just great :)
I think we can agree that everyone is going to listen to it for free before they buy it anyway. Nobody is going to buy something without knowing what they're getting.
***** It won't sound as nice as a "real copy" so if they don't care about quality...let them? ^^

not really. allot of the bands i listen to put out theyre music for free
I'm going to have to disagree with everyone here, this has to be one of my favourite Savant albums. It's unashamedly brilliant.
just fiest on that Album, stupendous I rekon
i hated this album until i absolutely loved it
me too
One word, VOID. Though this album is amazing, I can't really say which is my favorite. Orakel was always #1 for me, but they're all so good. Loved Protos, but Void is so amazing!
Best album to trip believe me
Alexander, I hope you come back with the same groove, feeling, power. We need you in a new sound, a new school. Most likely you will never read this, but it is more of a cry from the heart. Dang it's still so good. What a timeless album.
ikr, its so easy to come back to this album
This album... It brings the sound of like an old rock/prog feel with modern combined. It's amazing.. I love this album
Same. :D
Yo, you a vtuber now, pog
My god I love this album. If your mission was to remind people of the old school Saturday cartoon themes then MISSION ACCOMPLISHED SIR! I don't understand why so many people are hating on this album for the transition this entire album was filled to the brim with amazing riffs and beautiful lyrics. I understand that people have opinions, but all these people hating on this album are focusing on what you used to make rather than what this album was meant to symbolize. Thanks for this Savant it really brought aged soul back to my kid years!
I personally think that he made this album to help people "wake up".... if you catch my drift
Doober Dobber I get so many meanings just from the concept of this album! Mainly that peoples cravings for drops and bass from EDM is stupid and is stopping EDM from adapting. I agree with you 100% westonfun5. This isn't hardcore EDM, but this is one of the best damn albums I've ever heard. No, not one of the best, I think it is the best.
Doober Dobber I did notice beautiful world was a bit contrasting to the saturday morning aspect of the rest of the album, haha.
Lol right?!
no, you aren't the only one doing this
Hahaha no you aren't! I can't help but imagine the rider in red on his adventures in his party spaceship with his sidekick the Super Sheriff! 😅😌😅
Favourite album so far. Reminds me of like old school tv show openings. Although I can't recall any ironically, it reminds me of like superhero-esque stuff like kamen rider or power rangers. Maybe it's just me but this album totally sounds like it was pulled from the past and I'm glad I was able to see something like that in such a modern time.
yes, thats exactly what he was going for... he said that for him it was alot like a trip to a childhood (something like that)
BlueTheReptar Fakers sounds like perfect montage music
As for his electronic experimentation, I think he achieved great things with Orakel, creating sounds and blending genres and inspirations like no one else
underrated album. rider in red is sick, among others
The Japanese verse on Laser Sharks fucking blew my mind.
Way more pop than other albums, but this one reaches the masterpiece status.
So far - I'm still in 'Cry for Love'.
Now that I've listened to it all, this is a bloody masterpiece.
Albert Balbastre-Morte Spaceheart it's just a beautiful journey in the space, im with you, this is legendary!
Loving the little throwback to Nightmare Adventures on Man of The Law.
SAME
It's so funny how people complain and talk shit when an artist changes their style or produces a different type of music. Like srsly? Do you think they give a single shit? Do you think anyone does? It's music. This is how it works.
We need the ingenuity, creativity and experimentation seen here on the upcoming Alchemist remaster. This album is just immaculate.
Can't get enough! A super cool thing you should do Savant, is to make a tour with you performing your tracks, like singing or even playing instruments if you like, that would be awesome!
Ride Like the Wind & You Can Play i just heard for the first time this week... 2 new songs in my Top Favorite Savant songs
Rider in red is still my favourite
I agree. I just wish it was longer.
Ephixium Agreed!
Venom ^_^ /)
Holy shit I'm still a brony /)!
fakers........ fakers is really good but i still dont know whats my favourite
idk if you're reading this because you surely get loads of comments. i'm a big fan of your work, but this whole album in particular is so special to me. it's been three years and it still gives me chills whenever i listen to it (and i listen to it quite often). every single song is so fucking good and that musical style so unique. also you should sing more cause you've got the voice! seriously, i wish you'd do another album like this one, i'm so hooked since 2014. keep up the good work!
dude you're a genius. ur an inspiration to me to, as an artist, make whatever the fuck i want.
SIRENSCEOL. GET IN CONTACT WITH SAVANT MAKE SOME TUNES WITH HIM :D
Dude, there are two of the best artist i got in my playslist.
Do something together, and i'll die in peace, with my faith full in humanity...
SirensCeol! Imagine if you guys did a collab, that would be pretty awesome
The Method to the Madness > Protos
Same here, my drawings are way better since I listen to Savant :D
Rider in red, hands down my favourite song. Need a longer version.
Music without emotion is just noise...This album is a symphony of emotion. Wonderful work. Always and forever a fan.
First time listening to Savant. LOVED IT ALL!! Heard he was going to be at SVMF 2015. Don't see him in the line-up, but would love to see him there.
(Sorry if my english is bad, french guy here)
It's very hard to pick a favorite Savant album, but I find myself listening to this one the most, so I guess there's my answer.
Autism or whatever, it's all very human to me -- good stuff!
brent78900 bruh
brent78900 i will listen to your square pusher. i liked your comment, enjoy it.
brent78900 also, what or some of your favourite songs of the square pusher?
kankeriseenziekte I like his latest album, Damogen Furies, a lot.
2019 and this album is still the greatest!!! Love it!!!
Thank you for making one of my favourite albums ever, still listening 10 years later, this time while writing my master's dissertation. 🤗
2k19 still listening to this awesome Album
one of my favorites of. thank you for awsome moments. stay bright and keep going please
This whole album took me on an adventure! Def gonna buy
Savant forays into the 80s with his brilliant take on music. This album is so fun! Thank you, Savant. You are beautiful!
Still one of my favorite albums, sure do hope there's more like this in the future.
Nostalgic when I first listened to it, now way later it's 20x as nostalgic. I can't pick a favorite album but this one has been the soundtrack to my junior year. You're an inspiration and a half!
Aleksander, your music is life changing. So brilliant man. You are by far my favorite artist. Amazing stuff man.
still fire after all these years, goddamn
Dude I can't believe this is already 2 years old :o
NO WAY.
But as all good music this is timeless^^
i will never forget this album... ill play it when im 90 years old!
miles432 same here !
I can't believe I've discovered it just now.
8 years...
Happy birthday to one of my favorite Savant album !
I am grateful to have lived long enough in this planet in order to have been able to listen to this masterpiece of an album.
10 years on still going strong.
Still one of my favorite albums of recent years. Got goosebumps so many times while listening i stopped counting :') Thanks man !
Savant's voice is fucking godly and his talent for music is unparalleled. He inspires me in so many ways. Long live this legendary dude.
Listening to this daily man. As I grew up I've only come to love your music more.
Gotta say the Venom song is my favorite, it gets to me in a sad way but yet a little happiness.
+Picapica tchuoo "Bittersweet" is the word you're looking for
+didactic polymath ayeah ^^
Mr. Vinter, you are the only artist I know that puts up their whole album free of charge, and I love you for it.
I think protos is the best album to make a musical....,GOD WHY DOESNT EXIST A MUSICAL OF PROTOS ??
+TF masks Disney Savant could be something...
Maybe call it "A fiddler IN SPACE"
Or we call it simpley "Protos"
The funny thing is that I realy write a musical script for Protos XD
I mean, I know this comment is a year old now, but I'm pretty sure that a Disney musical is right out the window for this album, Disney wouldn't allow the entire album to be made into a musical, if you think you know why then click read more, if you don't, then either click read more or re-watch the entire album
the song "Spaceship" has the word motherfucker in it
So does Rise Up, surprisingly. I didn't hear it at first, but it does.
***** ........how is sword of destiny "EDM" in the slightest?
In that regard, "Venom" is figuratively my drug.
in my head!
thank you for the invigorating music!!!!
i know i'm not alone.
thank you.
You're welcome.

oh man u just rocked my ego so good!
WildcatOn3 This may be the best comment here, well said!
I have really been lovin this album for the past couple days, the more I listen to it the more the lyrics start to make sense.
Gotta love the Nightmare Adventures riff on Man of the Law... made love it even more! :D
Same here!
Was trying to recall which song that part was from, so thanks c:
Love you savant!
Eric Kauffmann te encontreeee
He comes out with tons of music very frequently and it's consistently very good and he continues to bring unique twists to every album.
the hype is real
At first, I wasn't too excited about this but the more I listened to the teaser, the more and more I fell in love with this
5 Stars!
Only 5?
Yup. I would've added a couple more zizillion, or maybe even given him a Qhasiv rating, but it's just.... I'm still wondering when his spaceship's blasting off, and I don't know where or how to get there either :/ I'm whining now, but I really really wanna party in his spaceship! :'(
Doober Dobber what's a Qhasiv rating?
Well, Qhasiv is actually a word I stole from the future. It's hard for us to really comprehend it's meaning, but it's basically just a number that's just shy of infinity, a Qhasiv ;)
Doober Dobber ah cool. awesome! i like it!
I think your words in Venom are my favorite though, specifically "when the Mind is Awakened from comatose, Destiny is overtaken by choice" :)
That verse has left me pondering something though...
Love you man! Oh, and Spaceship is now my new favorite song... for now :D
Oh and one last thing! Cult Collab is fucking incredible too! Not sure if I thanked you for that song yet... thanks! It definitely gets my blood pumpin :)
By far my favourite album in the collection! From one Alexander to another, you smashed it.
god damn this is amazing! i love the direction you have taken this album! it really reminds me of some old school Blue Oyster Cult stuff especially your Rider in Red! love it!
showing the wife the album, it still bangs. one of the most ambitious projects ever
Your best album since Alchemist imho.
This is definitely by far your best work!!!! The roots of Savant is within this glorious album and I couldn't be more happier!!!! =]
Thanks :)
MEXICO HAVE FANS FOR YOU SAVANT!!
This album is ridiculously good, Aleksander! Every song is amazing!
+Katriel Riley Vex.
+Katriel Riley Woah those are my favorite songs from the album, too
Frogdunker Sick!! lol
he just did 4 days ago. it's not actually quite the same. more synthwave themed
at first those were my two favorite songs, but after 2 years I can say the emotional content throughout all the album is really strong and musically complex
I just bought this album in payback for the countless times I've listened to it on youtube. Thanks Savant!
I'm not a savant fan, but I really love this album.
Oh my god. Every single song of this album is amazing, but Beautiful World just took my breath. Just wow.
god i just love your tracks man!
Oh My God!!!! When I listen to this, it definitely sounds like watching one of those Saturday morning cartoons or anime futuristic action films about a powerful hero defending the universe. Great work Savant, big fan of your music. It's so Awesome of Awesomness!!!!! 😎😎😎
Cry For Love brings back so many memories. :')
nightmare adventures in man of the law too :D
Back to September 2012 here we go!
Whats the melody or whatevr from?.. I thought i recognized it but dnno what its called lol
The fact that you sang everything on the album is what gets me. You have done many songs, but doing this undertaking is ungodly. You are a genius that I feel that your fans will always respect and look up to. Thanks man for making my days so much easier to deal with. Keep on changing the face of music man.
Hai To The King, Savant.
(Hail)
Eccofire (hail)
Eccofire You know you can just edit your original comment, rather than just replying to the original comment with the corrected mistake ;)
Axel Reigns Or delete the old one and repost a new one so nobody can know you typoed
oh,but of course you had to ruin it
Love the usage of Snes sounds a lot on this album, Sword of Destiny is like so nice :) reminds of Lufia or FF, Quest was so made from Link to the past, heh.. I do like Prototype and Quest, Sword of Destiny. Truth is I was expecting more dubsteb/chipstep, but it's ok, my first review was after listening this once.
I like that touch of oldschool click and point adventure in the Quest
+Borthkror It's greatly inspired by the Zelda ALTTP soundfont.
@@dannibuddo921 I was seriously wondering if this was inspired by Zelda :ALTTP since it's sounds so similar
Look for his stuff under Vinter in Hollywood.
pretty sure vario is just the name on one of his albums :P
Thanks a lot HyperKube :D I'm pretty fresh to Aleksanders music as wiki says he made around 10k tracks so it's hard to find what you are looking for :P Btw. I'm not a dubstep fan pretty much a dubstep haters but Savant's wubwubs are hitting right in my music taste :D
***** Have you read about savant syndrome? That's where his name came from.
looks like someone's got the savant-hype. and yes, thats where his name comes from, but he has a milder form of savant called asperges, so that he also looks and talks like a normal human
Rider in red, spaceheart, laser sharks, cry for love, super sheriff, Beautiful world. All absolute 10/10 bangers
For all the ppl trashing this album ugh wtf it's amazing
I don't think that people understand that Savant is so talented that he made a WHOLE FUCKING ALBUM with the same theme, making the full meaning of "theme" happen in this album. To make a whole album with the same theme requires so much dedication and talent. People need to realize that this isn't "Not Savant" or "Savants bad album"...this is genius. I cannot give more respect to Savant because this album made me give all my respect to him. CHEERS!
