Back when this was current content, I despised seeing matches like this, completely ignoring what was actually happening, as I couldn't wait for it to be over with. As I've grown older, and started re-watching these matches, it really opened my eyes to how much skill is involved in a match like this. Well played to these two street fighter legends.

Filthy Casul Lame is just a fighting game term for zoning. They call it that because it kills the hype and everyone gets bored. Justin Wong has been playing Street Fighter lame since Third Strike. It's just his way. Sadly, this was the least hype that I have ever seen a crowd during Grand Finals.

Gotta respect Snake Eyez gameplay with Zangief hands down. I played Zangief for years since Alpha and man it is not easy lol. You may have gotten him in the past Justin but at the end of the day the Snake's poison will come back to haunt you.

Justin cannot just go in recklessly or he's going to get bopped. Ricky, another amazing Rufus player is a lot more daring than Justin, got destroyed at Evo by Snake Eyez. This passive style is Justin's best bet against Snake eyez, as it is the way he snagged some wins against him.

i love this matchup cus justin plays lame and snake is used to it cus he plays gief so theres loads of minor interactions and footsies and i learn a lot even if it looks boring cus of the timeouts
I've watched a number of videos of Snake Eyes and he uses that Green hand Red focus combo a lot and it hardly ever lands and it burns all his meter. I wish he wouldn't do that
Man looking back at classic Snake Eyez matches lately and this guy has always been so solid! This match tho - is a great example of why sf4 kinda sucked. FADC made reversals way too safe. It always annoyed me that someone could rip a dp and like either get combo extension or make it safe.
As much as I'm not a fan of Justin, I respect him for picking an offensive character like Rufus for the duration of SF4. His natural lame style would've been better suited to sagat, but he pushed himself to do something else.
I think zangief is way under powered. The amount of effort snake eyes puts out to win looks absolutely exhausting. Wondering if he played a different character if he wouldn't dominate all the time.
