My mother was diagnosed with Lupus 1997. DVT in legs. Has always been a very active lifestyle. Last Christmas she woke up with veritigo. An MRI showed Basal Ganglia Claudification . She was walks with hiking poles to aid in balance. Her mind does have slight memory issues. We have gone gone to 3 doctors for defintive answers and expectation. No one really tells us much. Not sure what her future hold. I pray doctors learn more about this.

go to more doctors, not neccessarily the best doctors, any good doctor could do something to make the best out of a bad situation. there's always something you could do to improve the situation.
At any giving point, there still something you could do to improve the life quality, focus on that. Go to a psychologist for advice if you need to.

I’ve been diagnosed with fahrs. After having a cardiac arrest in 2019 where I was dead for an hour, I had trouble walking backwards.. 3 years later I have trouble with my balance overall. Falling a lot. Neurologist said no way would god give me a cardiac arrest and fahrs. Well as it turns out he would…
Best of luck to anyone out there with a similar condition. Not sure how it’s gonna be for me moving forward.. literally!!😂😂

I had 3 MRI scan years ago due to Tinnitus, the 1st was fuzzy so they asked me back, 2nd showed a white spot in the brain so they scanned me again. They never really gave me any info on it but I do remember the SLE term used. Obviously, they were not worried about it and touch wood even today going on 10 years later I have no health issues. Seeing this makes me wish a doctor had sent me a letter explaining exactly what is what.

Look up symptoms of too much calcium, magnesium is known to get rid of it

@M O Fine thanks. no issues what I know of. I have never checked up on the results I got years ago. The next time I go to the doctors I will make sure I ask him to clear up what the scan actually showed.

@@xenaa14ray34The issue is that magnesium is a master regulator of cellular metabolism and electrolyte transport.
If there is a chronic deficiency of it, problems will arise.

my scan shows obvious calcification but MDs are calling it 'normal'. Plenty of wierd symptoms incl mild seizures & lately a body 'freeze'...I get home from outside then 1/2 hour later my whole body becomes freeeezing cold. Very very sleepy too...compellingly sleepy every day esp when I try to read or study.

I have SO many of the symptoms of Lupus, and I have bilateral basal ganglia calcification in my brain, along with lots of other health issues, but my ANA keeps coming back negative. I’ve suspected Lupus or MS for years but doctors haven’t diagnosed either. I also have lesions in my brain and advanced brain atrophy. The radiologist suggested the atrophy might be due to underlying demyelinating disease, but again, the neurologist simple my said the lesions were in the wrong spot in my brain.
How do I find a team to work together to give me real answers???😢

Victoria A spoiled child of the King! Hi Victoria, my sister was just diagnosed with Fahr’s disease yesterday and she is terrified. She’s 34, she’s under a lot of stress as she is a nurse, has 2 autistic children ages 13 and 4, overweight and a smoker of about 12-15 years. Since you’ve lived with this disease for about 23 years now, can you provide me with any medications, holistic medicine or remedies that you’ve used to live the best life you have been with this rare condition? If you see this, please respond or you can even email me at Richardsonbri96@gmail.com. I have been reading about this all night as I am scared for her. She’s my only sibling and I want to be there for her the best way I can!
