My name is Bondan, and I’ve been making the art of artificial bonsai and trees from aluminum wire for 7 years.
I started this channel to share my artworks and the process of making it. Imagine a little shiny bonsai in your desk. No watering needed, no sunshine needed, and absolutely no maintenance needed. The most exciting thing is, everyone is able to make one. It’s easy, yet challenging. I will post a new video each week with new trees, designs, concept and colors.

Hello, I really do love your coloured collection. Can you please tell what is the fake grass? I am about to get some too, also thinking about the moss. I am a bit worried that sprinkling the glue with grass dust will not cover well, but yours are amazing. Thank you!
Hell, Honza! Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for your kind words. About the grass, its colored sawdust, usually used for mockup miniature. the base is clay. once its dry, simply put some glue and pour it on top of it. After that, just blow to remove the unattached grass. It works for me.
@@leonwireart4907 Thank you for your reply. I was thinking the same, however am cheating with the "rug" of grass for the train models. Just finished one bonsai with red, gold and light gold leafs to create the autumn colours. I love that! Please make more videos! All the best! :)

Hola Leon, tu trabajo es hermoso me encanto, pero si no te molesta me gustaría q nos dijeras cuantas piezas usas para el tronco y las hojas más a la vista de la cámara para ver en detalle todo como lo haces yo hago árboles para regalar a mis familiares, amigos , los maestros de mis hijos (2) y les doy a cada maestro q son como 5 maestros por cada año, y tu árbol esta hermoso así q si no te molesta porfavor para intentar hacerlo yo algún día, también donde consigues las macetitas q usas y el alambre , te lo agradecería infinita mente, porque donde yo vivo lo venden como por 10 metros el rollito y lo dan a precio de oro, te acabo de encontrar y me voy a suscribir, gracias 🙏 Dios te bendiga siempre, saludos
Hi! Since he didn't respond, I could give you an idea of how many wires he uses because I've been watching a few tutorials on making wire Bonsai trees today.
Many people say to use between 150 to 200 pieces. They wrap the wire around a wide, round container (like an oatmeal box) 150 to 200 times. Then they wrap a zip tie, or something like that, around the wires before removing them from the container. Finally, they cut through the wires to create the individual strands. It's hard to explain, but there are other tutorials you could watch.
I think it's awesome you make these as gifts for people. You must have a lot of patience! 🙂
I forgot to add that you can use anything for a container like lids from peanut butter jars. You would just need to paint them ahead of time using either a spray paint or acrylics. If you use acrylics, you'll need to apply a sealant afterwards to ensure the paint doesn't rub off later.

On another comment, he says he used 30 strands. I am guessing that doesn't include the green pieces but I could totally be wrong on that part.
exactly, 30 strands for the trunk, and 30 for the leaves. the amount of trunk strands = the amount of the leaf strands

Hello there!
1. Colored aluminum wire
2. Clay for the base
3. Colored sawdust for artificial grass
4. Glue (for the grass)
5. Mame sized bonsai pot (or you can use any kind of containers, even bottle cap works for mini size)
Tools:
1. Rounded shape pliers
2. Strong scissors (strong enough to cust the wires)

Hi Mark, any clay will do just fine. I use the cheapest one on the market. epoxy or even concrete works too

It is 1mm. Exactly 30cm fot the leaves. And 20cm for the trunk
How long and how many are those wires?
40 strands for the trunk and 40 strands for the leaves. I can do it around 2-3 hours for this small size
