Renown, Repulse and Resistance are some of the best Battlecruisers in game because they're some of the few ACTUAL Battlecruisers in game. The vast majority of "Battlecruisers" as people call them are simply examples of Fast Battleship before that terminology came about. The real difference is true cruiser levels of speed with matching armor.
I had 1 player leave my flank, me and the cruiser pushed, cruiser died leaving me with 4 ships, i held and got 2, 1 with some lucky torps, i managed to get 2 to chase my hawke, going dark and they still followed, eventually my team managed the win, the tirpitz B that abanadeoned finished bottom and still lived
The craziest play that happens way too often is spawning on one side, and the player decides they prefer the other side of the map and abandons their side
Thanks for this video. I love my Renown and wonder how much I missed going for the Congress over the Repulse. But Renown is a beast. I mostly dominate with it and am glad it gets its due. Its delay accurate, fast, and handles itself well IMO.
It sounds like the fb guy was making the case for leaving the flank and I’d love to hear his reasoning. Was it along the lines of staying in formation? The game itself gave that horrible tip for years now. In practice, when getting sucked into the toilet bowl the whole game soon follows. The most important thing in this game is information. When you abandon a flank, besides giving up a points advantage, you give them visibility of the whole map while you only have eyes on a fraction of it. Reds are bound to get juicier shots and blues vanish like farts in the wind.
Make a video on the FB discussion. I think it could be entertaining as well as educational. I was very active in the community group before. But I’ve left it since a while. Of course there are good people in there, but the stupidity and refusal to learn of some of them just became too much for me in the long run.😅
Ever since i found out that the bow armor is more than enough to stop 14 inch guns then i just bow tank at any Battleship that haves 14 or smaller inch guns and when i get close then dump the torps and run away. She fast and accurate at the same time.
Not a terrible ship but i find that the armour looks a lot better in the armour viewer than it performs in game. I tend to take a lot of pens even when bow tanking 356mm ap or smaller
I think the Hawk is the letdown on the line for me. It had good guns but it needs better armor at T7. The whole line was fun just T7 now gathers dust. It was a huge letdown for me.
My long story short, this ship poorly performs with trolly guns yeilding tons of overpens and put together with lacklustre, lazy, lousy blues. Just like we live in a different world. Nonetheless the points you made should be the baseline of the general knowledge. No RFC.
Im not sure how much longer I can play this game. Every match is a steam roll, either you win with all 9 of your teammates or loose and the reds have all 9 of their ships...it's never a good match.

Quite a nice video. Its funny and sad how simple the basic strategy is, but then players fail to implement the tactical plan as well.
