    how do we decide, in a given problem, which is the numerator and denominator? or, is this given in the problem?

    • @kmgirardi
      @kmgirardi 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      The numerator is the one with the biggest variance, the denominator has smaller variance.

    How do we know which number to put as the numerator and which as the denum, since they yield different results?

    Great video! Is there a rule for numbers that aren't on the table. for example my table ends at 120 degrees of freedom but the sample size is 137 for one of the samples. How does one proceed?

      Linear Interpolation would be my preferred method even though there is a built in, be it incredibly small, % error because your DoF are so large. (Try you-tubing or search the web on how to do interpolation - pretty easy) - hope this helps.

      hello. if there is no value you are looking for, you should take the smaller and the closest one to the degree of freedom you have. that is to say, if you have a degree of freedom 34, but it is missing in the table, you take 30 as a degree of freedom. because it is the smallest and closest one. even if you have 38 in degrees of freedom, you take a d.f. of 30

    hello. do you have a video about the formula to solve degrees of freedom unavailable in the table? for example, 34 as numerator and 38 as denominator.
    THANK YOU!

    calculate critical and" f " statistic value considering the following information :
    Significance level 0.05
    Numerator 11.
    denominator 3.
    Total sum of Square 160.
    Treatment sum of square 60.
    Observation number 25.
    treatment number 5.
    By solving this someone help me.

    What a WASTE of time. I watched two of these videos. I want to know if the F ratio is actually far enough past the critical. How much past it does it need to be? Is it 1%? or .05? I mean is there a minimum it was has to be past the critical????
