If you haven't seen her "Ross Perot", you haven't seen it done to incredible accuracy ! I only saw it once, but it was not only memorable, she made you forget what's his name in the role ...

I was there for show way back in early 90s. Many skits are hard to see from seat you are in and monitors are kinda small Plus equipment n crew in front.

This is hysterical. Kristen Wig's Kathy Lee is good no doubt but Cheri Oteri is next level.

@@davidmitchell6873 Agreed. Wiig's has nuance to it. Cheri pretty much just chews the scenery here. And there needs to be something in an impersonation that tethers it to the subject, at least a little bit and Oteri's doesn't seem to, IMO.

That’s not fair. Yes, they all rehearse. They ALL do. But they’ve used cue cards since the show went on the air. I’d venture to say that the only difference is that today’s cue cards are on a TelePromptR. And today’s cast is just as talented and funny as most of the earlier casts.

One of the rare SNL sketches of the past 10 years where everyone wasn't staring at cue cards. It had good writing and some actual comedic acting and went somewhere. Most sketches are based on a flimsy idea that is funny for 20 seconds that they beleaguer for way too long.
I saw Cheri look at queue cards several times.

Where and when? I don’t believe Kathy Lee laughed at this skit WHATSOEVER! Kathy Lee is a Prima Donna and sees her life as one of perfection! The Kristen Wiig skit where Wiig sings “Everyone Has a Story” was not at all liked by Kathy Lee, in fact, she went as far as to say it wasn’t funny and Wiig could not sing! You could tell that she was very irritated that Wiig chose to sing one of Lee’s favorite songs and she responded as such!

interesting portrayal of klg, this is more realistic, i think. wiig goes more for over-the-top mannerisms, this cuts to klg's persona, the person most people imagine she is, super rich and super narcissistic. chreri and darrell hammond are hilarious. many, many impersonaitions have been done on snl, hammond is the best.
My mom worked for a hotel where Frank met up with Kathie Lee before they got married. Trust me, the acting is eerily accurate

@Wynn Wynn hahahahaha. I always thought she was nice and caring but now that I think about it, she was quite insulting to Hoda. Darn rude. So I guess her sweet charm was fake all along.
Actually Kathy is a really great person. And she does get ripped a new ass, and she is a hero to alot of people. Her curse is that her life is such a stereotype. I got the chance to meet her, and she was the sweetest person and treated me with great respect, and I'm nobody. Shes a really good person.
The fact that I was a vet, who isn't, seemed really important to her. Shes a nut, but who wouldn't be with her life.
