To still find a Black Christian church using the ORGAN and singing HYMNS, oh how I thank God. Singing in unison to the glory of God. No contemporary music on a screen with a guitar and a keyboard instrument.
AME church
This is one of the best historical black churchs in New York. I attend the Greater Allen Cathedral of New York, AME and Communion Services are very similar.
You don't hear Hymns sung like this anymore like they did with lead me to Calvary and The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power. Thank You Abyssinina Baptist Church for keeping the Hymns alive.
Now this is church .Reverence To God.
This is CHURCH. Mighty Abyssinian.
This is how a communion service should be. Sacred.
You should check out the Catholic Church's communion. It's sacred every Sunday.
Anthony Fields preach!
I am blessed by this ministry the pulpit resounds honor and dignity, the music ministry is exceptional...Choirs with a repertoire inclusive of hymns, anthems, gospel contemporary and traditional and the band is topshelf CHURCH add a spontaneous dance and shout and I'm moving...blessed by your ministry
God bless this wonderful church from my Harlem hometown.
I just love this choir and church. The musical selections are always moving and uplifting.
Wonderful hymns. Greetings from Sweden. :)
Amen and amen to god be the glory im so richly bless
I've relocated to Florida. I miss Abyssinia. Can't find quality service here such as this. Can't wait for my next visit. Please pray for me. Bro. William W. Alderman Mortician.
Alderman Enterprise I can agree with you on that remark.....That would be to Holy for most of this generation....I can remember my mother singing those hymns ...And my siblings and i singing hymns like that in school......in the Caribbean 🛐🙏🏽👌
That Great Hymn Lead Me to Calvary was absolutely beautiful sung and PLAYED on that HUGE Piipe Organ. Should have had the camera on the little lady Organist playing that huge Pipe Organ, we could not see her at all.
The organist playing this service is the former Director of Music James Davis Jr. Please read the description.
Although I did not write this comment, I was offended by the last statement in the reply. All that was necessary was the update as to who was playing the organ. We must be sensitive and mindful of how we respond to individuals who are unaware of the order of service in our church.
Lead me to Calvary sends chills up my spine. Very very moving
This is some good soul worship.
Love the processional choir look professional and love the robes
Lead me to Calvary one of the great hymns of the church I grew up hearing the choir of Zoar UMC Church sing with the great Moller organ.
The pastor there came to preach at my church for our anniversary service
Beautful andi spiriting..
Around 3:21 we have a Rev. Lillian Allen look alike (smile) First from the left.
I like it, but it needs an actual set liturgy to give it order.
So true. If they coukd incorporate parts of tge historical litugies if much of Chritendom, it woukd be even more majestic. As it is, it apoears to be little more than a couple of emotion-laden songs , with a short sip and munch at the end...
