    • @sydboski
      @sydboski 10 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Stop it. Just stop it. JAM doesn't dominate Track and Field. There are 47 events for men and women in T&F. JAM dominates 3. That is the men's 100, 200, and 4x100. That is all.

    • @ranhill
      @ranhill 10 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Really? that's laughable. I'll give you the mens sprints but only the 100, 200, and the 4x100 relay. But the other sprints, which are the 110 hurdles, 400 hurdles, 400 flat, and the 4x400 relay (a sprint is any race using a starting block), where are the Jamaican men in those events? and we haven't even touched on field events.

    • @shana-kaysenior9162
      @shana-kaysenior9162 10 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      You guys sound hurt..but bottom line is when people think track and field ..they think jamaica..not just jamaicans..many more countries...so despite how many races there are to run..we are strongly recognize and yes the ones that we are in..we damn well dominate every one..record time too..we set records that wont be beaten for a long time...thats it!!!!!!

    • @sydboski
      @sydboski 10 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      There is no hurt here. When uninformed people think track and field, they may well think of JAM. But when informed people think track and field it is a different story. Like I said before JAM dominates 3 of 47 events. Ok let's see.. last OLY JAM sent 23 men in 10 events, and won 3 events. On the women's side JAM sent 22 in 12 events and only won 1. So out of 22 events that JAM was in only 4 were wins. So your statement, " yes the ones that we are in..we damn well dominate every one..record time too..", is not true. If your statement were true, JAM would have had 22 gold medals in athletics at the last OLY. JAM has the fastest man on the planet right now. There's no denying that. HE dominates the 100, 200, and 4x100. I also don't see all this "we" stuff. If you are out there competing, then "we" is appropriate. If not, then use your country's name. JAM has excellent athletes and deserves to be counted among the world's best, but to say JAM dominates T&F is completely false.

    ranhill don't hate, Jamaicans dominate "fast track" they are not saying that they dominate track and the Kenyans dominate long distance etc.few years back the East Germans dominate fast track, then it was the US, now its Jamaica.

    • @ranhill
      @ranhill 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not hating. As a fan of track & field, I watch all nations run. I even watch the Asian games. Even though their times are comparatively slow, their technique is outstanding. But whatever I watch, if I see a ridiculous statement, such as "Jamaica will dominates track & field for years to come", which someone commented on this video, I will jump on it simply because it isn't true. Short sprints, yes. Track and Field, no.

    • @desid657

      ranhill - good attitude - i like a fan who love the sports and appreciate talents from any nations -

    • @ranhill
      @ranhill 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Tommy Dii Back in the late 70s early 80s the East Germans, aka, The GDR (German Doped-up Republic) was unbeatable. Marlise Gohr was the WR holder in the 100. Heike Dreschler was a long jump and 200m force, they held the WR in the 4x100 for 30+ yrs until the USA Women surpassed it in 2012, and a East german still holds the 400m WR. BUT, all those records and dominance was drug enhanced. That is why today when someone dominates, like Bolt or Felix, the thought is they MUST be juicing.

    • @desid657
      @desid657 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tommy Dii - this was the same era with flo jo, Merlene Ottey, Evelyn Ashford. The East Germans were hot - they were on top late 70's into the 80's. check out the Montreal Olympics and 1988 Olympics

    • @desid657
