I have this and I like it despite its drawbacks. It’s basic features appeal to me since I’m just trying to get in shape. I think of it as a G-Shock with an add on heart rate monitor.
Thanks for the review. Currently I have the h1000 and your few mentions about it spot on. At this point I think the Move series still have long way to go for the price point. People better off with Garmin or Polar if they just want good running/exercise watches. Being a G-Shock fan, I still enjoy the h1000, and this h2000 is obviously much better, but I would probably wait a bit for price drop or the next gen.
Excellent Review. Am considering one of these as a replacement for an old FitBit as I am a fan of the G-Shock Line. However, after listening to your review, I believe I will do some additional research. I absolutely love G-Shock watches because of their durability and hoped that this particular watch would have the performance and features. Anyhow, thanks for a great review.
Though it seems to be a improved version over its predecessor but the wrist based heart rate monitor inaccuracies and no external hrm sensor connectivity is a deal breaker I think.
Hi, I wanted to check if this watch has a face in which we can see the heart rate on constant basis similar to a watch face in Garmin Instinct 2. It also beeps for abnormal heart rate i.e. if heart rate is over 100, it will start beeping. Does this Casio watch have this feature? thanks
I bought this watch today. When I go to sit or ride a bike, what do I have to turn on in order to see the route on my mobile? Do I need internet on my phone or mobile phone or both?
thank you for the review. In my opinion is really spot on, this shows me that you really test carefully. i bought the watch and sent it back because of exactly what you said, no external heart rate monitor t and the one on the watch is terrible, no dedicated treadmill run, overall really basic for the price range. I see you seem happy with forerunner 265, is it worth to pay extra and get the FR 965?
Thanks! I’ve not yet tested the 965, but I’d guess the choice will mainly come down to whether you want the maps. The 965 also has a smarter look, and the screen sounds great by all accounts, but the 265 does everything I would need 99% of the time very well
@Lenny Garrison I believe it's most likely hardware. Looking at the sensors it looks like it's meant for style rather than function. Polar, Garmin and Apple optical HR sensors looks more functional than that, actually, there is a style factor in Apple's sensor. Who knows, they can try increase the sampling rate or something in software to make it better, but don't really know these things. Anyway, when it comes to activities, HR sensors tend to not be as accurate (they are getting better), but not allowing to pair with HR straps when you have a bad sensor is really bad
I purchased this on March 16th. one of the biggest issues with the watch is that the GPS is just non-functional. it will take forever to acquire connection and will lose it very easily. So its impossible to track any outdoor activity even in every open spaces with clear view of the sky.
Love this watch just got 1 of this and its a good one compared to its predecessor which is the GBD-H1000; its light in the wrist and has addtl functions!!! A must to have for people who do a lot of exercise and outdoors!! SOLAR POWERED👍👍👍
Thanks for your great review again! 😊 I think it's very nice looking watch, but don't think I'll end up buying because the lack of strava (or any other) sync and support for external heart rate straps :/

Never would expect a g shock review
Great review, all I want is GShock + HR & sport tracking, that's more than enough

Does anyone know if G Shock digital watches (and the G shock app) are better than fitbits?

Nick looking like a professor in this one

Does it track the steps always OR do we need to start any mode for that?
Can hr accuracy be improved by a upadate??..
No external HRM connectivity. It's like a waste of the Polar capabilities especially when the wrist HR is not accurate at all.
Yeah it’s definitely a shame to not have that connectivity
With the HRM being inaccurate, is that a software issue, or a hardware issue?

i have had Instinct 2 solar twice now and both failed after 6-12months so on that basis alone i would go casio.
Has the watch got a hour charm? If so how do I turn it on? Thanks guys.
For a second I thought you were wearing a lab jacket 😂 was like wow ! Serious testing.. anyway great vid
Haha! Thanks
Fair review 🍺
When you getting those vaporfly 3s reviewed guys!! Checking every ten minutes hahaha.. cmon lads!!
and still doesn't have connection to heart ratę sensor on chest...:(

?? For people who do a lot of sport....without Heart rate strap conectivity 😅😅😅. Garmin is also solar powered. Check the Instinct series
With the lack of features, it sounds expensive compared to Garmin/Coros equivalents

Ill stick with the gbd100 and gbdh1000.I dont like the layered construction and charging plug on the newer model.
Had mine for a few days. Such a waste of the capabilities. Definitely not a serious sports watch. Looks great though.
Baffled as to why anyone would pick this over an Instinct of some kind.
Sadly disappointed in this purchase.
Super ale muszą ogarnąć aplikacje Casio watches bo to koszmar 😀
