That brought me back to 1995; after reading a newspaper article you did and talked about releasing a new album; I patiently waited and waited until the release date and called Tower Records to find out if they had it in stock. And to my excitement to know that they have it I had asked one of the store clerks to hold a copy for me. Going to the record store is such a ritual for me and my friends. When I popped that CD in my discman, OMG! New material from Debbie in '95! And this song, even though at 16 did not have the experience of a heartbreak; I emphatized and as I listen to this song over the years, now at 41, I could totally relate to this song because I have lived! Thank you for bringing this back. It may be a heartbreak song but it is also a song for healing!

The thing about Deb that I'm most proud of is that she never got strung out on drugs or alcohol after the spotlight dimmed like so many do. There are other things that I could list and one of them is that she's never disowned her past or her music. She apologizes for nothing and I love that.
She did have a prescription drug addiction to Xanax I believe because she dealt with anxiety but obviously she overcame it! But yes, I agree it could’ve been worse compared to some other celebrities.
