Thanks. Discovered one in my spares box. I ran through your checks, and after years not used, she looks very good. I cannot find specs on the switch anywhere. Looks like it can handle over a kilowatt.
Well i wont ever buy one of those diawa antenna switches... No isolation between inputs, no grounding of unused input. And any overload will warp the copper strips and creat the problem you had. Cheap and nasty design...

The input is automatic grounding when not use, please read the user manual
