year was 1957, i saw love in the afternoon at a local theater in mysore (a small town in india), and i saw the movie three times in two days. Fascination floored me, fell in love. and billy wilder's direction and great acting by cooper, chevalier and hepburn is still fresh in my memory. have seen the movie countless times. have heard many versions of fascination, just last night i was watching a dutch tv serial called "framed", the first episode has the dutch version of the song. i also heard it in one of woody allen's movie. very romantic song. thanks for posting. merci beaucoup.
