Thank you for sharing your journey and the transformation you've experienced. It's inspiring to see how you've found your path despite challenges. What aspects of being a counselor do you find most fulfilling or resonate with you on a deeper level?
Marcus Aurelius once said, "The best way to get back at someone who hurt you is to be unlike them."
Thank you for sharing this powerful quote from Marcus Aurelius. It speaks volumes about the importance of rising above negativity. How do you personally interpret and apply this wisdom in your own life when faced with challenging situations or individuals?
Silence helps us as well as the situations we face. We can maintain calmness better if we are silent when it isn’t necessary to speak. We can’t have an answer for everything, even though people try to.
I love the quiet of nature, with just the birds singing or the frogs croaking.
Thank you for sharing your profound reflections on the power of silence! It's incredible how nature's tranquility can provide such solace. Is there a specific moment in nature that stands out to you as particularly serene or memorable?
Nothing is perfect, it also has good and bad sides. We need to experience a lot. To gain experience
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference
Appreciate your comment, @PhilosophIQ. How do you personally apply this powerful serenity prayer in your daily life?
Silence is peace as well.❤

Silence is key. Please continue
Your emphasis on the power of silence is quite intriguing. How do you incorporate silence into your daily life, and what benefits have you noticed from embracing it?
The ancient Stoics offered profound spiritual insights into understanding human nature which, if applied earnestly today, would help those individuals who seriously understood them, become more at peace with themselves (and others) in more ways than one.
Thank you for sharing, @hakimabdulali8798. What's one specific insight from the Stoics that you find particularly impactful in today's fast-paced world?
I have chosen silence along with non-association. Profound peace from negative outside forces.
I am ready to conquer the knowledge
Thank you, @malarchandrasekaram165, for your enthusiasm. What specific areas of knowledge are you aiming to conquer?

Silence is the best way
.
Thank you for sharing your perspective on the power of silence! It's intriguing how silence can convey so much. In what situations have you found silence to be particularly effective or enlightening?
Excellent lesson very useful and powerful
THANK YOU.
Your appreciation means a lot! I'm thrilled you found the lesson impactful. What's one practical step you're considering to implement the lesson's insights into your daily life?
I have a friend who companioned with a huge, scared doggo who barked at anybody who came close. One day in the nineties I drove her car, she in the passenger seat, to her place in Echo Park, L.A. I was born at the Queen of the Angels Hospital in Echo Park in the fifties. The dog (I forget his name!) was in the dirt yard in front of the apartment building, chained (I was livid, for a moment, I said nothing) and my friend said "We'll leave in an hour" and she excused herself and I sat in the yard, 50 feet from the animal. For a half-hour I sang and spoke to the animal, moving a few feet at a time as he began to calm down. For some reason I was determined to make loving contact with the frightened and scary beast. Eventually I got close enough to offer my hand to the dog, palm down, limply, which he of coursed sniffed. He approved and I massaged his aching joints and I hugged him. My friend emerged and we drove away.
Your story is quite moving. It shows the power of patience, empathy, and determination in building trust and understanding with animals. I'm curious, how did this experience impact your perspective on human-animal relationships, and did it inspire any further actions or reflections in your life?
@@KingStoic101 - I was born loving animals. They seem to live lives uncorrupted by ego. Insects, mammals, birds (birds are dinos! When I found out I couldn't have been more thrilled) slugs, fish, most of them. The block I clean everyday in Hollywood (what're you doing, hippie? We like our Hollywood grim'n'gritty!) is full of dogs and dogs, for doggy reasons, like me. When a canine sees someone who literally wants to play THEY KNOW. Many plants and animals are telempathic (images and feelings, NOT words, NOT "telepathic") and an empathic human will find it easy to communicate with other species, even if it's play they want. Plants are different from animals, they live in a different time frame. I don't particularly like the company of humans, my Search for Intelligent Life in TH-cam certainly is a daunting task. If humans were the only game in town I would resign.

And in today's world when you go outside they're certainly plenty of fools around
Thank you for your observation! I'm intrigued-what do you think contributes to the prevalence of fools in today's world, and how do you navigate interactions with them?
I will try being more silent 😅
Unfortunately this doesn't seem to be working for me with dealing with narcissists or narcissistic people. They often weaponize these traits.
I will continue to listen to this wisdom. But wanted to see if you would talk about people who want to hurt you from a place of these types and as Emaths we suffer deeply even with such knowledge you speak of
Your perspective on dealing with narcissists is thought-provoking. Despite the wisdom you've gained, you still encounter challenges. I wonder, how do you navigate maintaining your emotional well-being while facing such adversities?
It Becomes A Tool -For the Individual - and What is 😂Silence ..?…really ……..🌞
In 1990 I had to make a decision. I was 37 years old and I was born weak and tired. I rode my bicycle all over L.A. from 1958 to 2018 to keep the body alive. I always felt weak and tired. I made the decision. Guitar, or Women? No energy for both. Guess.
Your journey is both intriguing and reflective. I'm curious-what led you to this pivotal decision between pursuing music and relationships, and how has it shaped your life since then?
@@KingStoic101 - I needed to be alone to gather enough energy to be the most interesting guitar player I know. I play many instruments (self taught) and the guitar is the machine that all other instruments orbit, for me. I saw Cream. I saw Hendrix. I saw Albert King. When I saw Eric play his psychedelic Gibson SG (Epiphone is one-tenth the price!) in 1967 I was hooked for life. It took me five years to get a guitar, I borrowed one in 1969 and played that for a year. Music is my jam. In 1990 I realized that I did not prefer physical intimacy over celibacy, at all, I don't like being touched by most humans. Animals (most) - no problem with physical contact. Many mammals love being massaged if you have those skills. I was born into the seeds of rock and roll (1953 if you hate math) and that is no coincidence. I love playing guitar (and many instruments, many of which I built from scratch - I grew up poor and many things that I could not afford I would build) and I love singing and I love performing, which I do sporadically on the Walk of Fame (Hollywood Boulevard). It took me ten years (a few thousand hours) to become "my favorite guitar player" (living?) - totally worth the discipline, which doesn't feel like work or practice if you love what you do. I am not, despite my well-honed social skills, a people person. Don't tell anybody. I have a very comfortable relationship with (most) plants and animals and clouds fer crissakes. Guitar is what waits for me on a bad day. Or didgeridoo, shakuhachi, djembe, bells, shakers, bass...no singing allowed in this building. The neighbors allow a few seconds a day (they are very sensitive) so I go outside to sing. The tourists love it. The locals are, shall we say, competitive and jealous except for 3 people. Standing in your being and singing Hold Your Head Up by Argent (in YT) at the top of my lungs is, for me, an ultimate experience. My Star Spangled Banner would bring tears to your eyes.
@@KingStoic101 - I should, perhaps, refrain from assumptions like where you are based, geographically speaking.
@@dennismason3740 Your journey with music and self-discovery is truly fascinating. How did you initially find your way to the guitar, and what inspired you to explore such a wide array of instruments and musical styles?
@@KingStoic101 - I heard Elvis sing Heartbreak Hotel in 1956, that was my first song memory. In 1967 I saw Cream (also 1968 Goodbye Tour) with Eric Clapton on guitar and it was all over. I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I grew up being told I was shit, which I believed. The guitar existed outside my shitty nature and relieved me for a little while. I never knew I was a very competent singer, musician, performer. I thought my singing and guitar playing were shit when I wasn't singing or playing. I wanted to play like Django Reinhardt and Jimi Hendrix, I didn't know I had my own unique style until I was in my fifties. As a guitar player I wanted to play EVERYTHING but crap, all styles, and I pretty much achieved that and other instruments fell into place in my hungry heart and music offers vibrational relief from the place where I live and the people who live here. Music is what I am, so to speak. The different instruments I built serve to neutralize the envy I felt for rich kids.
When will my ear stop ringing
Thank you for sharing. It sounds like you're experiencing discomfort. Have you sought medical advice or explored remedies for your ear ringing, and what steps are you considering to address this issue?
Silence is the key to morivation
Silence can indeed be profound. How do you find motivation within the quiet moments of life?
It is in those quiet moments that we find oneself..peace I believe
Would it still be contempt if it were the highest form of silence?
How do I get away from this guy?
Silence is the key
Silence is the Key !
Thank you for sharing your insight! Silence indeed holds immense power in various aspects of life. I'm curious, in what situations have you found silence to be particularly impactful or transformative?
