It’s ok if the foster family wasn’t EJ’s forever family, if all fosters would keep their rescues they wouldn’t have the money or energy to rescue more babies like Erica Junior. I adopted Julie (pictured) one of the best cats in the world via a foster mom last year. If she had kept her I wouldn’t have her in my life, I thank her foster mom everyday for getting Julie ready for me. Foster parents are the BEST!!

Agreed! As someone who wants to have a foster home for all sorts of animals, I think of it as a way to find every street animal a home. Sometimes is hard for a person to adopt straight from the street, because the animal may be agressive (from being on their own) or be ill... But with foster homes, the process just gets way easier!
@@wyass4722 exactly, and we all benefit for their expertise, kindness and love towards our future fur babies.
No one is saying that all foster families should keep every fostered animal ... but the way that this one had so much personal significance to the husband.... I can't blame people who think this particular one should have been an exception.
Thanks for this ccomment! I'm a foster mom. It breaks my heart to give up kittens, but I can't afford to keep all of them. Also, I love knowing my kittens go to adopters who can give them a lot of time and attention. I foster failed on one kitten, and I have not been able to give her as much attention lately because I have a litter of fosters. I don't want to keep kittens just because I love them when adopters can give them lots of attention and free me up to spend time with my two cats and other fosters. Thanks for showing love to your cat's foster mom. It's often a thankless job, so I know it would mean a lot to her to hear you saying such kind things.

Such a glorious problem to have! So glad EJ found you! No doubt she wouldn’t have made it without your loving care and sacrifice. Now she’s thriving and happy. It doesn’t get any better.

Hundreds, they've saved hundreds of tiny lives, they've fostered over years and years and suffered the grief of loss when a kitten didn't flourish and allowed themselves the pain of letting go kitty after kitty to good families over and over to be able to save even more precious little lives and giving days and weeks of their time bringing them up so another family could be blessed with a healthy happy kitty - weeks with two hourly feedings - and everything that goes along with it. Some people are simply so generous and giving it can't be measured.
When you foster animals, you obviously want to keep them all and you do it. But after few month, your home is filled by a dozen of cats, 5 dogs, 2 tortoises and a old donkey... So you evolve.

She was a stray kitten who was being fed by some people at this office complex. Poor little thing; it was winter and it snows here. One of the ladies took her home but couldnt keep her because she has sugar gliders. So she put her on a local Facebook page for rescues and we took her! I just love her nose marking❤

I found a kitten years ago when I was restoring a farm home just like EJ and I couldn't believe he survived out in the freezing element's like he did he was tiny like your guy I took him home and had him for 24 years I am not even exaggerating 24 years he spent with me I lost him almost 3 tears ago and after watching your video 2 things come to mind

I know this lady from a previous video
she hasn't just saved 1 or 2 kittens, she's always saving any kittens she can help and she gives them away to a new family when the kittens become healthy and start growing up so she has room to help new ones, such a wonderful person.
Recovering from death of closely attached animals require hard patience and highly day to day adaptations.

The right place the right time that lil monster knew where and when to be there and the hand from above gave him the means to be there animals that lose their lives cause cruel people or end up in places that people put them in is so heart breaking every year so many lil lives lost and gods speed to their souls

I was honestly expecting them to keep her (at least for the husband's sake). But I'm glad she went to a good home and that they got updates of her progress after adoption. I'm sure there are many more kittens that will need someone loving to care for them.

I have always had what I call a cat signal. Whenever I am walking down the street, any street in a residential or mixed-use area, A cat will appear out of nowhere and come up to me and greet me! They are so friendly and sweet.
I don't know what this "signal" is, but cats come to me on their own, both on the street and at home (they come to my porch).
I love kitties and want to help them any way I can.🐈💕💞😉

I believe this will clear up any confusion regarding the ability of stray cats to spot a free lunch walking by (and I mean that as someone who's always more than happy to provide a free lunch to any wandering feline who's looking a bit down-on-their-luck).
Stray cats are normally very cautious animals, so I think their ability to spot a friendly human face, and willingness to approach them, is surely one of the greatest compliments they can bestow to us hulking monkeys.

My baby was found finally two weeks after the animal rescue found her mum dead on the street hit by a car. They knew she had newborn kittens (1-2 weeks old at this point!) and they found two kittens in the first week and the third after two weeks as i mentioned. Thats so incredible! She had bloated stomach and it was critical but she survived. Shes 14 years old now and only weight 3kg, these first days are super important. But shes happy now, but super cautious to everything, even i have to behave or she will disappear, haha.
Im really proud about them all.

That was like winning the lottery for sure! I think most people would have done something to help the kitten, but ending out with these people, who actually had lots of experience in rescuing kittens, probably increased her chances of survival incredibly! Lucky, lucky itty bitty super cute kitten girl! 😻🙌❤️❣️☺️

I had a Tortie who lived to be 18 years. She was amazing, loved dogs and people and didn't care where she was as long as she was with me. I still miss her, and even dream about her. I would have been a foster fail on EJ.

We've fostered a lot of cats and kittens and it's always hard to give them up for adoption. We currently have one "foster fail". i.e., we just couldn't part with him. He's the best cat ever.

I had cat's even before I was born, nearly 81, that's a lot of caring and loving.
I think you have a big hart.🐱
I found a little black kitten once, had to be no mire then a few days old.
Its ears were still folded and eyes just opened
Had to bottle feed and manual assists its body function...
Its names it squeaker or tweaker depending on her mood that day. :)
I rescued homeless cats & found good homes for them. One was also an all black baby the mother rejected, he was only couple days old- cold & stiff when I found him(mother separated him from the two healthy kittens & wouldn't feed him). The vet told me the mother was either inexperienced or probably thought he wouldn't survive and warned me he may not make it. Bottle fed(setting alarm) and bed made w/ heater & stuffed toy. He pulled through and lived with me twelve years having the most beautiful glossy coat, stretching out to take up 1/2 of the king size bed crossways. I still miss that brave, sweet boy 20 years later.😔

I rescued a kitty from my work and because i already had 2 full grown cats i couldnt keep him so i fostered him, i was so sad and so proud when he went to his forever home they send me updates on how hes doing around Christmas time 🙂

I have foster failed three times. I really admire those who are strong enough to be able to say goodbye so that they can continue to bring more fosters into their homes and keep up the process. They are real heroes!

my sister's tortie's face reminds me of an owl. about 4 years old.
she's such a sweetie but also incredibly mischievous.
Their attitude is why I will forever be a tortie mama! Tortitude is the best kind of cattitude in my opinion!
I've fostered neonate kittens and it is a celebration when they reach every milestone! How lucky for EJ that you guys found her when you did!

She was so fortunate and I am thankful for the fosters doing what they did. Makes me wonder though where her siblings were, maybe nearby somewhere. and sadly not as fortunate as EJ. That's my father's first and middle names initials as well. Many thanks for what you do..
