Spears are incredible for kiting
The problem lies in your spells
First q with impaler pairs well with pike due to stun lock

thats just a really bad build for pike, i like to play it with kleric or mage robe, soldier boot and hunter hood. you cannot catch people but with t6 pike i can win brawls against t8.1 players if they fight me
