Love this great song. We sang it in my home church, Christian Tabernacle in Dallas ,Tx, pastored by Warren L. Green. I lead it still in the church that I pastor in Weatherford, tx. Seems like less less people remember it.
Bishop S C Johnson was 22 when this hymn was written. It was the same year Bishop R C Lawson left the PAW to start the COOLJC. Bishop S C Johnson came from the COOLJC. Before he started the COOLJC of the apostolic faith.
Courtney Francis Amen. While I am also one who believes in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as one God I love the song, too. Jesus is the name of God so I believe in baptizing in that name. Bottom line is it reverences the true and living God, despite how anyone interprets the scriptures. It is important to build on the unity that we have -- that Jesus is Lord -- instead of magnifying differences. Blessings!
Hallelujah! Glory to God.. there's nothing like A receptive heart.. bless you brother.. I hope you're still clinging still.. Hallelujah.. am stirred.. Praise Jesus Christ.. Glory!
@misterkgb1 @itsgoodtoseeme91 This song was written by Bishop Garfield Thomas (GT) Haywood, 1st Presiding Bishop of the PAW (Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Inc).
It doesn't make any difference about who came up with the song it's all about Jesus The Christ and Him Crucified. Don't let Satan the Devil 😈 enter into your heart. Give the True and Living God the Glory any how. People need to be Lead to Jesus The Christ and be Baptized.
@ treeze120 he didn't say he wrote the song he simply said that he used this song as his theme song on his broadcasting. I was little when Bishop S. C. Johnson died in 1961, but I can remember being in the mist of the services that was held at the Head quarters church there in Philadelphia, PA at 22nd and Bainbridge Streets.
