Tbh, the number one main reason why OnlyOneOf is so underrated is simply because their company overall isn't very good. They suck at promotions and are known to make decisions that turn off fans such as when Love left, they banned every mention of his name on the official fancafe. It sucks that OnlyOneOf get's damaged by being in a company that already has the downside of being a smaller company but also a company that sucks at promoting them. It's a common joke among fans that we the fans do a better job at promoting them than their company does!
Yes, smaller companies have it rough, but the guys are putting out quality productions. I hope one day they will get the recognition they deserve.
I was waiting to hear your thoughts on this, because it’s such an onlyoneof way to do a summer-type funky track.
i really enjoyed this song, the standout to me was the way the vocal delivery fit with the music video. it almost feels flirty in a condescending way? you can hear KB’s smile in some of his lines. that coupled with the ending of the video makes me think the whole relationship/fling was one-sided; i guess we’ll see as the storyline plays out.
i totally get what you’re saying with your comparison of the instrumental bridge to a club scene in a movie. it really does make you feel dizzy! when i listened to this track for the first time i got chills at the bridge.
KB does have a very captivating smile. I think the whole concept is really cool. I wasn't expecting there to be a visual link between the songs. Even though the visuals get past me because I'm always so focused on the audio, I can't wait to hear/see what's next. Thanks so much for your insight.
Thank you for always pointing out the interesting bits of OnlyOneOf's music. I am really impressed by this song as well. The structure is interesting yet very natural. I really like the progression of the song. So far it is very addictive. I like how you broke down the dizzying effect and how they make the first and second half different like a transition. I didn't realize the specifics until you pointed them out. Given the fact that both MVs (begin and be free) are heavily inspired by Wang Kar Wai's film "Chungking Express", I can see how they want to use the music to show the imagery of dissonance. The last scene of begin is a very representative Wang Kai Wai way of showing the couple being in their own moment in the middle of a bustling city.
We don't know who the 3rd solo is gonna be. They usually tease it during the first half of the month and release the song toward the end of the month. Hope the schedule will hold for the rest of them.

i really recommend their song "bOss", its a b-side and it also has an 80's vibe to it, it's one of my personal favorites by onlyoneof. unfortunately it doesn't have a music video and the audio of the dance practice was recorded from the room they're dancing so the quality isn't very good, so it's better to listen to the official audio for a first time reaction!

I think it was for Rolling Stones Korea that KB mentioned that he tought would be cool to have a real guitar in the song, so he called one of his friends to participate in the song. I feel like that small detail (having a real instrument instead of a synthesizer) adds too much to the melody.
As for the vocals, i love how you can hear how dinamic it is, it doesn't feel like it have the same structure over and over all the song.

Thank you. I did see JunJi's video. I loved the video and he sounded great. The music production was on point as usual. Unfortunately, that song didn't make it onto the channel or my playlist because I'm not into R&B style tracks.

I've heard of the song, but I haven't heard it yet. They are always on my list though.
To be completely honest i think if their creative director wasn’t who he was they’d gain a lot more support especially from orbits (Loona fandom) as he was very controlling and pretty abusive towards Loona, (caused physical and mental distress in the members and forced them into unrealistic diets at young ages that resulted in them sneaking food to function. These are just a couple examples of what he’s done), leading a lot of fans to boycott OOO essentially when he ditched Loona to start working on them instead. OOO debuted shortly after he and Loona’s company split ways and he even made backhanded remarks in interviews that pissed off orbits for obvious reasons. Former OOO member Love was featured in Loona member Vivi’s solo debut MV so orbits were excited for his debut until we knew who was invloved. I appreciate that he doesn’t treat them horribly but i can understand why most would feel uncomfortable. I’ve supported them since debut and I’ve been an orbit since Love’s reveal so I’ve seen it all go down on social media. I wish people gave them more chances they’re so sweet and incredibly talented and unique since day 1.

What your next focus should be on that group triple s. stop acting like Jaden jeong is the abuser why don't you blame it on BBC. that's why Jaden took OnlyOneOf out of there. Even here, 8d is a bad company but Jaden jeong is not responsible for that. your fandom is toxic and needs to stay in their lane. Every time your excuses are on Jaden jeong. Plus, he produces music and creates the concept. He does not control every single aspect 24/7 of the idols. Even if there may be something he did made Orbit angry pre-2019, I don't see any reason to hate on OnlyOneOf at this point. I am here for the good music. That's it.

@@shanr3338 idk why you’re trying to start shit with people for explaining some backstory behind the group and a possible reason why they don’t get as much attention as they should. if you read anything that i wrote, you’d know that i stated that i’m a fan of both groups since day 1 and wish people would stop blaming ooo for jaden’s behavior. jaden has been known to act like a controlling asshole since at least 2014 when he ditched lovlelyz to start from scratch bc the company didn’t want the financial risks and did the same to ladies code when loona was freshly debuting members. many company staff and loona members themselves stated the problems they went through as a result of jaden’s controlling behavior to fit his vision for the group including forcing jinsoul to bleach her hair for years straight causing scalp damage and migraines. just because he’s a talented man doesn’t make him a good person. i was there when this all happened i’m not making this shit up. people who get defensive before understanding the situation and start fights with people over the slightest mention of a name is what causes fanwars like this one between orbits and lyons. please do your research before protecting someone known to be a bad person just bc they’re talented and you like their work.
@@4700cat People are correcting you because a lot of what you're saying is simply not true. (I also was a pre-debut loona and ooo fan) Polaris has a LONG history of sabotaging their own artists, and jaden left woolim after a long and healthy career with Infinite, and into the early years of lovelyz. It's completely misinformation to say he ditched lovelyz, woolim simply didn't want to utilize the full extent of his ideas for a gg. Which was fine. (The concept he created for lovelyz was also one that woolim knew they could execute without him... and they did and it they did well. Like most companies do when they change A&R and no one notices) A&R move company all the time. BBC never actually stated that Jaden was too controlling, monotree joked about jaden being meticulous (to even call him the 13th member) but they never once framed it as a bad thing-- if anything they respected him. BBC's ceo is the beginning and end of a lot of what happens to the loona members, hence why many of them had hair changes they didn't ask for (and even cried and begged not to have: ex yeojin). As for ladies code, that was Polaris as Ashley from Ladies Code even states how they got new Staff and A&R, and THAT team scrapped the unreleased album. Again a Polaris decision while they moved jaden jeong, his staff, and some of ladies code IP to the loona project. Which are both under Polaris.
Jaden has a very long and extensive career working with many artists because up until forming his own company he was a contracted A&R, meaning he's always had the ability to be replaced, leave, move on etc.
