You hit the nail on the head. It is one thing to write a song, it is one thing to sing a song, and it is one thing to interpret a song, but it is quite another to LIVE the song as no one does it better than Elvis. Many singers have done this song, including the great Frank Sinatra, but no one can compare to Elvis's version. He takes it, he owns it and that's the name of that tune. Love you, love Elvis.

It's Midnight is another one I love! I haven't seen a video live but it does have pictures of he and Pricilla. It was recorded at a live performance and Pricilla was present and he was wanting to work things out. But in the song you can hear him say"listen Cilla", before the verse and it's midnight and I miss you! The ending of the song is really powerful too because his voice sounds like he's crying and keeps repeating Lord I miss you! I think you'll find it on the jungle sessions, he sings a powerful"Hurt And it's Midnight! They were recorded at The studio at Graceland.
Love Tomorrow Never Comes....Most would have never heard him sing it BUT it is one of my all time favorites of his. The King could sing anything and make it his own. The greatest ever Entertainer no doubt.

This song came out in 1961 originally in French, Shirley Bassey had a hit with it, then Sonny & Cher. There’s a home recording of Elvis in the mid 60s singing this with Charlie Hodge, by 1972 Elvis would perform this in Vegas. Elvis’ version via Aloha shows you the power & versatility of his God given gift of a voice. There’s a 1974 version that he takes the final note up even higher & stronger. Elvis’ version is considered the hardest vocally to perform. Elvis was the Greatest Vocalist Ever! Long Live The King! R.I.P. Ben Keough...so much promise, gone too soon.

The more you listen to Elvis songs you will have a better understanding of the crushing loss when he died at 42 in 1977. I still remember where I was standing when I heard the news. It is great that TH-cam has kept his legacy alive.
The maturation and changing of his voice is a fascinating journey all on it's own. You have to listen to his very beginnings to the end of his life. It was great throughout. Unique talent.
When he sings this song I believe I am watching and hearing his greatest vocal ever. What he does with his voice at the end is just unbelievable, what an incredible performance and I feel the emotion coming from him. I heard this song when I was was a teenager and thought how can anyone sing like that, now having gone through a divorce I know where he is drawing that emotion from. We lost him way too soon he was gifted by God to sing.
I saw the power Elvis had in his voice in rare instances in his early records. In the 70's he would surprise us still but in "live" in concerts like here in Hawaii. Beautifully done. Very emotional.
