    What a refreshingly to the point, informative, and comprehensive video. I would usually have to watch 10 different videos, go to 8 different websites browsing dozens of message board threads to get half this much useful info. Please keep making more.

    I would live there in a heartbeat due to the safety, cleanliness, transportation. I am retired, so do not need a job, and will be 76 in October 2018. I loved the row weeks I lived at the Shangri La on Orchard Rd. The people were super nice and Air Singapore was just fantastic.

      @@patiencepeter8078 Singapore is definitely one of the cleanest and most organized country, but for me personally I can't really handle the heat and high humidity, it makes me get tired easily, and I can't really enjoy being outside for too long since the heat is unbearable for me, if you really want to move to a tropical country like singapore maybe you should consider the climate

    I am a senior citizen retired and would like to move to Singapore along with my wife. Since I will not be able
    to find employment for survival, I intend to invest money in some financial institution such as Banks etc.
    What would be the percentage of interest payable to investors on their deposits. Thank you.

    2019... On one hand Singapore want's worlds skilled / talented people to come in but on the other hand there is no PR system like AUS/ Canada or NZ so the catch 22 of Job or PR ( forget PR even employment pass is difficult) for professional, also cost burdens are really high for accommodation and education, food and transport is ok... so not easy as it sounds

    • @antoinefigafetta6405
      @antoinefigafetta6405 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      really ? I worked there from 1994 - 2002 I'm even getting the CPF then , EP was so easy but not PR ( you have to marry a local to be a PR ) in fact I can enter Singapore as a tourist and apply for a Job there directly- no sweat , when I left in 2003 I heard getting PR is so easy in fact all my friends got PR status ( I was so Jealous ). Those years Singapore became generous and kind to the foreign workers by issuing EP and PR easily , but the System was abused , most foreign workers will use the PR status just to prolong their employment in Singapore but actually their families are not living there permanently for good instead they are sending all their Earnings and buying houses and other properties in their home country.And this is bad for Singapore economy. I think this is the reason why it's difficult now to obtain EP and PR now . I still plan to work back in Singapore , it's a country that is Clean , citizens are well discipline , no corruption , good government , everything is efficient , high tech , the food is great , overall it's an ideal place to live and work.

    • @fwtravel
      @fwtravel 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@antoinefigafetta6405 Klaus, I am talking about current situation not 2002, My point was Why does not Singapore provide a "True to core PR" like Canada/ Auss / NZ does based on skills called "Skilled migration" You get a PR without a job linked based on our qualifications+ exp ..All these nations want to attract talent and are open to Migration + Singapore is not new to migration and is not a mono cultural society like Japan is hence the compare with the western countries PR system , Yes sure some will take PR but actually return to their own country , many HK people did that to AUS and Canada but overall Aus and Canada still benefited

    • @keffinsg
      @keffinsg 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Singapore is not like these other nations which have low population densities and desire to increase their populations. PR is available, but it is very selectively given.

    • @fwtravel
      @fwtravel 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@keffinsg I understand, but is the PR really a PR even? or it is only alive until you are making lots of money! the other countries I mentioned give a PR which is life long unless you commit a crime and then within 4-5 years you can get citizenship any way may main point was that video makes it sound like Sing PR is easy! it is not at all

    This morning when I browse through my iPad I come across an article with this headline “ Living and working in SG - expatriates moving to SG. I believe you have already heard what the spokesman said about SG’s pro and con. Now is our
    Comments times. This is my view and if you disagree you have the right to give your view, as SG has freedom of speech.
    Coming back to the subject, the word expatriate sounds very academic, but in reality, there are perhaps a few percent who are good. I know from some of my said mostly expatriates from the third world are poor in experience and knowledge. It’s common to find foreign expatriates learning from fellow Singaporean more passing knowledge to us.
    If you have any doubt you can check with your friends who work in multi international companies. Mostly, they enjoy free
    accommodation plus expatriates’ benefits. Well, life is like this in Singapore. You know In Shenton Way you see more expatriates moving around during lunch time than Singaporeans workers.

      I agree with your insightful comment. Avoid Singapore at all costs. Many expats leave broken due to infidelity. Prostitution is rampant and enjoyed widely by expats. Don't think your husband won't succumb to the temptations and the Singaporean women who wish to snag your husband for his money.

    It looks like a hell for Expats,
    - Highly overpriced condos, size is useless. Can suck 1/20th of your annual earning
    - Kids school fees in international school can suck your 1/10th of annual salary.
    - No, future security due to EP rules, no job for a couple of month go back and loose all contract moneys such as school contract, renting contract.
    - Average salaries are lesar than Canada/europe......no where near to US.
    - Tropical weather, cannot enjoy any season.
    - Almost everything is imported, so nothing is cheap........by the way cleanliness u can do your self ...so don't shout.
    - Buying car will suck another 1/10th of your salary.
    Still so many prefer it, could not understand. Canada/Aus are way better.
