  • The finds aren't mind blowing...but man was it fun! I highly recommend bringing along a hand held detector similar to what I used here. There are other models and any of them would do the trick. It's one step above a pinpointer, but not a full blown detector.

You know what...you may be on to something. After reading your comment, I went and got the ring. It's crusty so I took a blue scratch pad to it and I can see writing on the face that says GUCCI made in Italy. Gonna try to see if there's a mark inside, but it's pretty crusty. Will probably do a follow up video.

It looked like you were in Aruba detecting. Having been there many times I have thought about taking my detector or one like you were using. I live close to Cedar Rapids and we have been down to the Caribbean 19 times and I have never seen anybody detecting there.

If you're going to go only cruise and your metal detecting don't take junk with you you need a good metal detector and good headphones and a good Scoop I would recommend Garrett Sea Hunter Mark II metal detector

I think you did great with the little deteknix. Snorkel detecting is not easy at all. Your ring looks like it could be silver.

I think the company is Xpointer and it used to be Deteknix? The model is called the Scuba Tector. Thanks for watching.

Too bad they don't make a collapsible sand scoop....

No kidding! Sand scoop would have been a big help. Maybe a plastic hand scoop or something.

Would be interesting to know who Sarah is and how she lost her name tag lol. I wonder if just having the Garrett pinpointer would have worked as well if not better to zero in a little better. Sure is different than the hunts in Iowa lol. Thanks for sharing and take care.
